Owww, GOSH! seeing their faces makes me want to sincerely wish you'd have another error again, tiamet.
Ha! They do take a little getting used to...
I'm enjoying how Jareth has the unwilling "helper" in Legolas and the unexpected schemer in Loki. It's a nice contrast to how helpful the others had been in previous generations.
Thanks, Pip, I don't want it to get boring for y'all.
Loki almost looks acceptable with his new hair. From a distance. Possibly without my glasses.
In all seriousness, I'm actually kind of glad that the twins resemble Erik and Arlo more than their mum. Ugly or not, there aren't too many other dynasty heirs who look quite like them!
Yeah, we'll be able to pick them out of any Dynasty line-up, Trip!
My eyes hurt..........
Try these...
You know Loki looks kinda like Kid Loki from Young Avengers.
Kind of...
Considering that they are spawn of Arlo, they could look worse. Hopefully it'll breed out over time--or oh drat, does that jinx it? No wonder Legolas doesn't like that hair; he's worn it far too often.
I'm hoping Gen 8 comes out normal-ish. Don't worry, he's not keeping the hair, either.
Wow... just... wow... I do love the boys' personalities. The contrast is a lot of fun and I can't wait to see what trouble they get into.
Yep, they may not be lookers, but they've got
personality.
Now let's see, where were we...
Chapter Twenty-Six - Carry On
The twins had turned into
monsters teens on Thursday night. Friday they spent the day meeting new friends. They were surprisingly successful, all things considered. Legolas was almost in a good mood when Jareth called him that night to do his art.
"Really?" the Goblin King asked. "Why this particular brand of madness?"
"Loki suggested it, actually. He said I shouldn't be afraid to explore all my options while I'm stuck here."
"And the real reason?" Jareth sighed.
"I knew it would drive you spare," the Imaginary Elf shrugged. "Gytha thought it would be a riot."
Loki worked on becoming best friends with everyone in the house.
"But why Super Popular?" Mag asked him.
"I just want people to like me," he told her. "I'm done with all that
burdened with terrible purpose business."
She raised an eyebrow at him.
"I'm only a teen, Mag. How much trouble can I get into at this stage?"
Saturday was a busy busy day. First thing was to teach the twins to drive...
"Where's the other motive mobile?" Tia asked.
"What other motive mobile?" Erik asked, looking up from his book.
"We had four. Everyone, turn out your pockets."
"No one would steal anything that tacky," Jareth protested.
A quick search of everyone's inventory proved that the motive mobile was, indeed, missing.
"It isn't the end of the world," Jareth pointed out. "We still have three more."
"At 45K LTHP a pop, I would just like remind you who's budget that comes out of, Jareth." Tia said.
"Right! Keep an eye out, everyone." Jareth said.
"I don't want to drive this thing. Why can't I have the motorcycle?" Legolas asked. "I keep popping wishes for it."
"When you finish your requirements, we'll talk," Tia told him.
"I'm never going to have to sleep again, this is awesome!" Loki cried, as he backed out the driveway and peeled off down the street.
"Do you want to tell him how dorky that looks, or shall I?" Erik asked Jareth.
***
"Lasse!" Tia yelled. "Put down Erik's guitar and get back out into the greenhouse! Even with the trees, it's going to take a while to reach level ten in the gardening career, y'know."
The elf held a hand to his ear. "Wait," he said, "do you hear that?"
Legolas Bunch has been awarded the title of Agricultural Mastermind"Nice one, bro," Loki interjected.
"Thanks," Legolas gave Loki a quick grin. "Nobody had cashed in a money bag since Arlo passed away that last time."
Legolas was full of surprises that weekend. Sunday he called up the only girl he knew and invited her over to the park. Loki had been busy setting traps on all the benches, so they were careful not to sit.
Ah, Raina. The face of an angel with the eyesight of a barn owl in full daylight. They talked and laughed, and finally Legolas asked her to prom.
"I'd love to go!" she gushed. "I'm just going to wear any old thing since it's tomorrow night anyway."
"Great," Legolas shrugged. "Come on over and meet Jareth."
Prom was a rousing success. Loki was Prom King, Legolas and Raina were voted cutest couple ever and started going steady. Loki even managed to pick up a member of the decorating committee.
Jareth picked up the phone and called Raina over for a serious conversation.
"I suppose I should tell you right off that I've got Babysitter's Syndrome," Raina began. "So if this is going to work, you need to make some quick decisions here."
"I suppose Legolas has filled you in on the details of our set up here?" Jareth asked, fiddling with his gloves.
"Some. I know you're a Dynasty family. I've got to have one kid, and you have to give me what I want."
"And what do you want, Raina?" he asked, raising a brow.
"Protection. I want to be a Master Thief. I'm counting on you to have the clout to get me out of any sticky situations that may arise."
"That's it?" he asked.
"Pretty much," she said. "The fact that you have pots of money helps."
"Legolas knows all this?" Jareth asked.
"Sure."
He extended his hand. "Welcome to the family, Raina."
"This is really weird, bro, even for us." Loki confessed. "Your girlfriend is two weeks younger than Mag!"
