Self Employed and Resort Ownership
« on: July 08, 2013, 07:18:36 AM »
Sorry, I know I have read something about this, but, I can't find the thread.

I think I saw something which said that there is a problem with this.

I am keen to get a resort up and running, but, my sim is self-employed.  Do I need to quit my job first?

Personally I've had a household with a self-employed diver, a self-employed fisherman, a lifeguard, and an interior decorator own a resort.  None of them had any troubles using the tower facilities or the grounds of the resort they owned.  I can't remember if I had all of them try checking in to the VIP rooms, but at least two of them did without problems.

No, the problem occurs when you are self employed and you don't own the resort. If you own the resort no problems at all.

I believe Twallan's Overwatch fixes that EA error.  Has something to do with self-employed careers not having vacation days.  I'm pretty sure it's Overwatch that fixes it if you use mods.  You'll want the latest version.

Thank you all.  I can now go ahead without worries.
