Paparazzi on Houseboats

Ever since my mermaid gained a celebrity star, paparazzi are basically stalking her, which is fine except that they just invite themselves into her houseboat! It's really quite irritating... has anyone else encountered this?

EA is trying to create a more realistic paparazzi experience, lol.  They've been on my houseboat too.  They don't go in the house though.

This may be due to the fact of how your houseboat is laid out.  Just like when on land sometimes a paparazzi will get into the house randomly if you don't have a fence up.

I have two rows of empty space with no fence at the back, where it docks, but there is a wall that goes all the way across, with a door. They just let themselves in, right into the bedroom on the second floor.

Yup, I've had the same thing.  The paparazzi just let themselves in through the front door.  My celebrity was living on the second cheapest starter houseboat at the time, and it certainly has four walls and a 'front' door. 

I'd been hoping that living on a houseboat would mean no paparazzi, not even bolder paparazzi!

They should have a new interaction:  "Throw off boat"  Now THAT would be worth it.  Even better would be that they were limited to observing you from a boat so then the Kraken could get them.  <evil grin>

Click on the door to lock it.  There are also options there where you can specify who can use the door.  This option also works with gates. I put a gate up and locked that too.  The only other way I can find to get rid of those pests is to play with Celebrity Option off for the family.

LOL  Seriously though, I'm considering getting Twallan's Register mod which allows you to alter the papparazzi.  You can get rid of them entirely or change at what celebrity level they start showing up.  I honestly don't think they should be showing up for 1 or 2 star celebrities because getting one star, for sure, is super easy.  Heck, the maid I have living in my house has 1 star just for being friends with the mistress of the house.  You know, I'm pretty sure you could make a good case for tresspassing when they're on the boat and in the middle of the night you could be forgiven for thinking they are a burglar and shooting them. (Shift+Click Object... Delete)  Or I could use Twallan's MC mod and actually kill them, complete with Grim.  But that's so messy. LOL  Ooooo, just had an idea for a castle type house complete with a dungeon where I can put the papparazzi that I catch on my property.  Lock them up until they starve to death. LOL  Yeah, they make me evil.

I used to try fencing them in so they couldn't move but it didn't work very well.  So THEN I built a small pool with a fence around that and no ladder of course.  Using "Edit Town", "moveobjects on", I'd move them into the pool and watch them struggle and eventually die.  Yeah, I'm your evil twin.  lol

Yeah, I figured on the castle, I'd make an entrance just for the Papparazzi so they can get in... but they don't get out... MWAHAHAHHAHAH.... ahem... Nothing to see here.
