Has anyone who used the Friend of The Kraken Lifetime reward gotten to successfully use it? I heard you can't use it on houseboats but I keep getting a message about it not being able to attack, even on paddle boats.

I've used it successfully on two occasions, attacking a speedboat containing people who were part of the active household.

Is the option grayed out, or did you click it and nothing happened?

Weird. What type of boat is it?

I have tried all types of boats. Maybe its like the earlier post said, you can only do it to other people in your household.

Okay, I tried it on all six boats you can buy at the pier and the option is still grayed out. I tried when the boat was moving, when it was still in the water, with just the sim that holds the Friend of the Kraken reward, with just other members of the household, with everyone in the same boat, and even on townies that sailed past. Nothing.

Everyone is a Young Adult, the sim with the reward is a witch (the only supernatural in the house), and it's currently a rainy day in Fall, if that makes any difference.

If the sim with the Friend of the Kraken LTR or any other sim with that LTR is in a boat, that boat cannot be attacked by the kraken. The Friend of Kraken reward keeps the kraken from attacking any boat that sim is in.

That sim is the only one with the reward because she's the only one with enough points to buy it. Like I said, I tried it without her being in the target boat. I even tried it when she was on land and the other sims were in a boat on the other side of the island. The option is still grayed out.

In that case, it is . . . very strange. Is there any message that pops up when you mouse over the greyed-out option?

'The Kraken doesn't seem able to attack this boat'. Right now, that boat is a sailboat, with a different, straight from the family bin sim in it, fishing.

Even stranger. Have you tried the usual fixes, like clearing caches?

Yep! I even resetsim * and restarted my computer. Still grayed out.
