1 // Meet Grace; First Steps

Meet Grace Puddlewick.

  • Traits: Loves the Outdoors, Natural Cook, Nurturing, Ambitious, Dog Person
  • Favorites: Songwriter music, ceviche, and the color turquoise.
  • Astrological Sign: Aquarius
  • Lifetime Want: The Culinary Librarian
  • Unique Skill: Cooking
  • Building and Property Ownership:
  • Unique Lifetime Rewards: Collection Helper, Speedy Learner
  • Unique Best Friends:  Julienne Knack
  • Unique Opportunities:

Freshly released from foster care after "aging out," Grace Puddlewick moved to nearby Twinbrook to get a fresh start. With nearly no money, no friends, no job, Grace started out small on her newly purchased lot with a simple outhouse and a bed. She headed downtown to the boxcar diner to apply for a job.

She's starting at the bottom, but it's something. Grace then spent some time at the local library, hoping to find a new friend or just someone to talk to. No one really came around. She decided to try the park, where she found some wildflowers growing.

As it turned out, several of them were pretty rare. Grace sold the flowers in her inventory for close to $3,000 simoleans! She then expanded her outhouse to a small, 2 room home.

It was measly, but it was a place to call her own for the present moment. Exhausted from all the moving, flower picking and the resulting allergies, Grace crashed for the night, wondering what the future had in store for her. But not before eating some dinner.

A girl's gotta eat, right?

Aw, for some reason I just love the beginning of a dynasty. There's something so endearing about watching someone live in a tiny shack.

Good luck with Twinbrook! Your founder is lovely.

Thanks everyone! I'm in Week 4 now, so I'll be posting an update tomorrow sometime, or today, depending on where you live I suppose.

Agreed Azokka!  The beginning is always interesting.  Love seeing how various people choose to begin.  Love your founder Steleus ^^  She's pretty.

2 // The Most Eventful Fall Festival Ever

It was becoming quite clear why her last name was Puddlewick.

After a week of working and flower collecting, Grace was able to update her modest homestead to something a little more... livable. The sink would forever teach her a lesson to not buy cheap plumbing, as it broke numerous times and wasted countless hours being repaired.

Get it together, Graciepoo.

Grace also became friends with Harwood Clay, a famous sculptor living town. "I like art," she thought. "Why wouldn't I like Harwood?" He ended up moving into the train wreck of a house that Grace owned on week 2, day 1.

Good ol' Harwood, dreaming about his art collection. A few days later, on week two, day four, Grace achieved her lifetime want of learning all recipes! Or at least 28 of them.

Grace and Harwood's friendship quickly blossomed into a romance, despite the chilly weather. The two spent the day at the Twinbrook Harvest Festival. You know the school yard rhyme; First comes love.

Then comes marriage.

Then comes baby in a baby carriage!

And three short days later...

Grace gave birth to a blushing baby girl, Elizabeth, with the traits Artistic and Loves the Outdoors. Harwood was a proud father of a little girl with his eyes.

The next day, (week three, day five) the couple threw a Spooky Day celebration with their close friends, Juan Darer and Julienne Knack, along with Grace's co-workers. It was also Grace's adult birthday! What better way to celebrate your maturity than blowing out the candles on a birthday cake in a hot dog costume?

I kid you not.

It is now confirmed that Grace makes the best facial expressions. Juan is a close second.

Two days later, the unthinkable happened.

Grace cut off all her hair.

That, and Harwood passed away of old age at the age of 94 days. Just an hour before, he finished painting Grace's adult portrait. Apparently Grim thought it was hideous.

It was also Elizabeth's toddler birthday! Out of grief and loneliness, Grace asked her best friend and boss Julienne to move in with her. She gladly obliged. She took a fondness to being called "Aunt Julie."

She doesn't care for Harwood much though.

Julienne is not amused.

  • It took Grace 4 tries to get pregnant.
  • Harwood was two ice sculptures away from completing the skill challenge when he died.
  • The house must have gone through 5 or six incarnations to get it to where you see it at the end. It still has no windows.
  • The kitchen sink, shower, and toilet broke so many times, Grace is level 5 handiness from fixing everything.
  • I was really sad when Lizzy aged up and had black hair. I was so hoping she would have Grace's bright red hair or bright blue eyes, but she came out of it with neither.
  • I never played Twinbrook a lot, but I love it in the Fall. It's slowly becoming my favorite neighborhood.

Glad to see that my favorite dynasty slave finally got to be a dynasty spouse for the little time he had left. RIP Harwood! And Twinbrook is indeed gorgeous in the fall.

Seems like you're doing well!

That's bad luck with Harwood! Hopefully Julienne will be able to complete 25 in time.

Ooh, I love a good Spooky Day party with immortals in hot dog costumes!
