Origin code problem

I wasn't sure if I should post this here or on the technical help board. Sorry if it's in the wrong place!

I bought the Island Paradise pre-order offer which included a free stuff pack. They sent me an email with all the serial codes... the Carnival Costumes thing (sorry, not sure about the name in english) works and I was able to download the EP, but I can't redeem the code for the Stuff Pack. Origin keeps saying it's an invalid code. The code is like the following, where X is a letter and # is a number:

 #XXXXXX###

So, it's a different type of code than the ones you get for expansion packs and I can't redeem it at the store. I've been waiting since forever to talk to an EA advisor on the official help site but nothing happens, it's been saying my waiting time is 5 minutes for 45 minutes now. The code should be valid until the 11th July so it's not expired. I have triple checked that it's typed correctly, too.

So, my questions are... am I using the wrong code? In that case, where do I find the right one? Or am I trying to redeem at the wrong place? I went into Origin, then clicked the Origin menu and then Redeem a code.

Have you tried using the live chat help within the Origin program or are you just talking on the forums?

The code they gave you for the free stuff pack should work like a coupon code.
You choose your stuff pack from the  Origin store and then enter the code at check out.
After entering the code , the amount should change to 0 when you update your cart.

That's what I meant when I said I was waiting since forever, haha.

Anyway, after an hour waiting in the chat I got to talk to an advisor. From the instructions in the Origin website I had understood I had to redeem the code in the Origin client, but it had to be redeemed at the Origin website. I had to pick the Stuff Pack I wanted, then add it to my shopping cart and "pay" with the coupon, just like Ferretmania said. The instructions in the spanish website were rather confusing (at least to me).
