Cannot Check In at a Resort

My Sim has tried to check in at two different resorts with her roommate and both times the game freezes until I have to shut it down using Task Manager.  Has anyone else encountered this problem?

What career is your sim in? Crinrict has a blog post about this issue and it sounds like it is what you are experiencing.

This just happened to me and my sim is a diver...so I will try a different careered sim and see if that works.

Yeah the blog says the Diving career also causes the issue.

I tried to check in - unemployed - and nothing happens. After talking to the check-in guy my sim was out on the street again. But the game didn't crash.

I switched my sim to the business career and she was fine to check in.
