The Jewel Immortal Dynasty - Chapter 51 - Prepare for the Raging Hormones

I love Henry's smock! It gives him an artistic, dramatic character. And Patricia is lovely. Happy birthday to all

So that's what you call that funny, arty, aprony thing that I put him in! I was very surprised to see how many birthdays were coming up. I did have them spread over 2 or 3 short chapters, but I decided I could squeeze them all into one chapter if I sorted out the screenshots correctly.

Chapter 12- Youth Bliss

Immortality may be many moons away for Patricia but she is taking it a seriously as me. The moment she aged up, she was outside harvesting the money trees.



She signed up as a self-employed gardener and got to level 6 in one go! These money trees are going to be a blessing once spring arrives! As winter drew in, she was retreating more and more to the basement garden set up by Dad when he first moved in.



She's much better at this immortal business when I was her age. I suppose I started fishing before I really understood why. Charlie is still very much our savior when it comes to the museum. He often does both the portraits and the sculptures, even though Dante is portrait competent. For her teen sculpture, Patricia went for a very balletic, graceful pose.



On the other hand, I went for a stronger look.

You know Henry has always been Patricia's best friend, now they're older that has been taken a bit further.



A bit of gentle flirting. Nothing to be concerned about.



Okay, so maybe there is a little friendly hugging and dopey looks around.



Still, no cause for concern.



Still more flirting, but this looks a bit more serious than before.



Ooh, thanks Henry! Now we have some more flowers for Chris's grave.



But sometimes I wonder what's going on in his little head.



Okay, Dude. You've taken this one step too far. No one, I repeat NO ONE kisses my baby girl without a signed permission slip from both his parents and myself. Did he get the signatures? No.

Before I could give Henry a piece of my mind, though, the new couple were in the taxi.



That man in the picture on the left looks so much like Dad! 

Oh yeah, and NO KISSING in the middle of the movie. I will be checking with the theatre supervisor once you get home!

I've only just realised I didn't update the thread title and first post now when the last chapter was posted three days ago! It's done now so enjoy!

Also, the family tree has now been updated in the first post. It doesn't contain spoilers if you have read the whole story up to now. The first post is now fully up to date with the requirements as well.

Chapter 22- Skilling Up

Life's getting tough now. I never thought becoming a successful angler would be so hard. I have about two weeks until my birthday, but I'm still on level 7 of my career. We discussed the situation as a family over dinner a few nights ago.



"But Mum, maybe your not using the right bait!" A typical comment from my daughter.



"The thing is honey," I replied, " Fishing isn't all about just catching the fish. For anyone else to become immortal, I need to make a living selling the fish as well."



"We can all chip into your fish fund," said Mum. "I mean, besides Patricia and myself, of course."



"Well, I suppose we are Jewels." I mean, we are, aren't we? We can do anything! The next morning, Charlie came down to the beach to help me. Unfortunately, he can't fish. In the time it took me to catch twenty fish, he caught none.

Meanwhile, Mum took Henry out for a driving lesson. The first lesson was getting the car off the driveway with all passengers inside.



That didn't go very well. Despite the not-so-good start on Henry's driving license, he still to Patricia to Prom.



They did end up going in their snowsuits, but it was the second day of winter. Nevertheless, they had a blast, got Prom King and Queen and were the centre of attention as the cutest couple on the dance floor! I still don't approve of Henry kissing Patricia, but at least my little girl had a good time.

Mum decided to take up snowboarding, of all the things an elderly lady can do. She's getting pretty good at it.





I do worry that she'll break an ankle, though. She's so old and frail. When Patricia got home, she was desperate to prove she is better than her grandmother.

That is quite some height she's got there!



She did take quite a tumble, probably because her TabCast distracted her.

Over dinner, we had another discussion that was somewhat less about me.



"Heidi, why can't I get a job? I'm going to be old like you in a few days and all I've done with my life so far is paint and sculpt for your family!"



"To be fair, you were going to be the gardener until I was born. Then I took your powers away! Mwa hahaha!

After dinner, Patricia promptly got back to work on her gardening before Charlie tried to help her again.



All Dad could do was giggle at his Granddaughters interest.

A few days later, Mum decided to brave teaching Henry to drive again. Lesson two: Where to turn around



He was getting better at not reversing into other vehicles, though!

Lesson Three: Driving Safely



Oh good, he actually passed that test. Eventually, he got his license. Not sure how long he'll keep it, though!



I don't know whether this dynasty will work out for me. I really hope someday I will make it and make Mum proud.

Fishing seems like such a hard skill to supermax... and I can't imagine maxing that career...  I know it's possible, but I just don't think I have the patience for it lol so I tip off my hat to you my dear ^^

Aww good luck! If you aren't already, try selling through the consignment store , and pick up the LTR to go with it if you can. Oh, and do the trick to get an Impressive reputation before you start, so you're not losing any money from your fish sales.  Build a tiny pond at home and stock with deathfish, so you can catch them 24/7, and they sell for the most too.

Two weeks is a lot of time, you'll be fine! And I'm loving your story

SuperMaxing it wasn't too hard but the career is tiring. I think I'll just about make it, but it will be hard work both for Alecia and myself.

Unfortunately, I have a horrible bug with the consignment store that means I cannot buy or sell anything there. I might ask about it in the Dynasty thread and see if I can replace it. I'll try the death fish thing as well, maybe that'll speed things up. I'm glad you like my story, it's a nice feeling inside.

Okay, I am now on track for completing Alecia's career with some extremely high value death fish. They now have a pond with death fish and I'm hoping to stock it with alley catfish and angel fish as well. All is good so no worries today! Expect an update either today or tomorrow. There isn't really much going on since we have a long stretch without any birthdays.

Also, this is my 1000th post! I am now a fully-fledged watcher!

Once again, I forgot to update the thread title. Alecia is finally getting there with her career, after a successful trip to Egypt. I think she could make it within a week of aging up to elder if I work her hard enough. Fingers crossed!
