@Rica you can use flatten lot and click-drag the units you want above water. Work it out in terrain tools and you can get more space and less water. Good Luck!

If you don't make it to a Sim in time, they slap you. 

They slap you? Oh my goodness, I'm shaking with laughter at the thought. That's simultaneously hilarious and horrifying, like Mrs Crumplebottom emerging out of the wishing well in Sims 2. It might be kinda fun if they actually died if you left them too long, but whatever. Lifeguarding will be the very first thing I do when I get the expansion tomorrow.
Seriously. Slapping you for not giving them the kiss of life. That's something a Mudokon would do (who gets the obscure game reference?).

I found Triton King and managed to call him with a seashell. I couldn't get a picture of Artemis calling him because she was standing in the kitchen at the time and managed to put her head through the wall, but here's Triton!

I've made Artemis become best friends with Salty Seaworth (I think that's his name, the blue merman) but I didn't get any mermaid kelp. I think it's because Artemis is a witch and the elixir consignment store didn't pop up in Isla Paradiso. Then I changed the color of the lights at my port because I was having a Great Gatsby moment

They have so much fun steering the houseboats.  Once you get the hang of placing the dock, it is pretty cool.  Scenery is really nice.
