Generation 4, Chapter 9, Imaginary Stalkers, updated 7/13/13

202 Horseshoe Loop, Appaloosa Plains

Hennessey Household
Mara Hennessey

Heriberto Hennessey

Waylon Hennessey

Denny Hennessey

Leroy Hennessey

After a quick assessement of the household it is decided that the elders will move out, along with the pooch.  After a little more thought it is decided that Denny will also move out.  The house only has two bedrooms and there just isn't enough room for any extra sims this generation.  It seems that instead of moving up each generation, this family is moving into smaller and smaller houses each time.
Are they gone?

Of course, when you go through the process of moving everyone out, you should make sure no one was actually in the process of cooking when you start...

Waylon has the lifetime wish to have a private museum which I decided to keep.  This generation will collect relics for their requirements.  Waylon doesn't fare so well against the mummy.

And Oh Henry is back.  He is no longer glitched but he is stalking Olive.  Apparently the only way to get rid of him is going to be to make him real.  Since the opportunity is one of the bugged ones, and Leila left the potion back in the house she grew up in, which no one lives and we can't get back into, Waylon has to learn logic now so he can discover the potion.

In the meantime, Olive is pregnant and, of course, she has twins.  I didn't want twins.  I didn't try for twins.  They didn't have the fertility reward or potion.  But guess what.  She had twins.  Vanesa and Valera.  Great.  Twins. And the blue skin is gone. Sigh.  My game really hates me.  Vanesa will be working on Directing while Valera will be the fun child.  Valera got clumsy and absent minded.  She will get all the traits I avoid just to see what happens.  ::)

Waylon finally discovers the potion for Oh Henry and Olive wastes no time in making him real.

At this point, I even considered keeping him around.  Until I looked at his traits and lifetime wish.  He rolled angler and equestrian with the lifetime wish to be a Deep Sea Diver, which for Appaloosa Plains was wonderful.  Except he also rolled Hates the Outdoors.  So I sent him down to train scuba diving then over to City Hall to register as a self employed diver and then I kicked him out.

Olive and Waylon get a little time in the sun while the girls sleep upstairs in their poopy diapers.  Waylon is soon to be heading back to Egypt for his next adventure as he has more relics to collect and I am heading to bed.

Generation 4, Chapter 10, Identical Twins, updated 7/14/13

Can you tell the difference?

Sometimes I give them separate physical identities and other times I don't.  These two grow up into the same hairstyle so I went with it and gave them the same everything changing only the colors.  There is only one slight difference between them.  Well two actually, neither of which is drastic.  I didn't use the walker or playpen this generation and allowed Olive and Waylon to spend their days teaching the girls to walk and talk.  After all Olive only works on Saturdays and Sundays and Waylon was only adventuring initially, so they had plenty of free time.

After that was completed, the girls spent their time playing together and building their relationship so they could share a double bed without complaining.

The parents enjoyed an evening rest outside before Waylon started his new job in the Military and Olive finally returned to work.

Vanesa did not want Waylon to read this particular book for some reason.  Maybe it was because he had already read it to her the night before?

Olive took Vanesa to the beach to play in the ocean.  Vanesa loved it and so did I.

Soon, thankfully, it was time for the girls to grow up.

Vanesa, the heiress...

Valera, the spare-ess...

Waylon tutors Vanesa before she starts school.  Thankfully you can send them to school even on snow days since, out of her 5 days of school, they had 1 day off for Snowflake Day and 4 Snow Days.

This is one of the twins, Valera I think.

Both Olive and Waylon grew up at the same time.

This family rates not one, not two, but three paparazzi to watch their activities.

Vanesa will be pursuing writing as her skill and directing as her career.  She is spending her free time reading as many books as she can before she begins her climb to the top.

You're just flying through this now! I don't remember the last time I had twins or triplets that actually could pretend to be eachother.

I am hiding from reality.  My oldest is about a month away from moving to the other side of the world and we are prepping to move her home for the last few weeks.  I have been taking advantage of every spare hour I can squeeze to play so I don't dwell on the fact that she will be so far away for the next year.

I was disappointed that the blue skin and blue hair was bred out this generation, but they still have that big mouth from the generation 1 O'Shea daddy.  I think that is why they keep getting that funky chin as a child.

Generation 4, Chapter 11, Nothing to See Here - Move Along, updated 7/16/13

Yeah it really is time to move

Valera's absent minded trait gets her into trouble daily as she regularly "forgets" to go to school somewhere between the call for the bus, getting on the bus, and getting to school.  Olive, for some reason lets her beg for forgiveness every time.

Vanesa, on the other hand, gets so engrossed in her reading that she doesn't notice she needs to go until it is too late.

Spending time together relaxing in the back yard...

...windsurfing...

...snorkeling...

...and pool parties fill the twins days.  This has not been one of the more taxing generations.

EA story progression is really weak.  There is virtually no family in town that Vanesa is not related to making finding a new household almost impossible.  After visiting every, single, house she finally finds one single male that is not in her family tree.  Israel Miller.  Hopefully he will still be alive when she is ready to move.  There will be no more spares, intentionally, going forward in this challenge.

Olive dies soon after her 90th birthday; however, Waylon hangs on until somewhere around 110.  He spends his time brooding and insulting the twins and anyone else that will talk to him.  I resorted to sending him to random locations and letting him brood until his needs would bring him back home.

Valera became an actress

Vanesa mastered writing and became a distinguished director.

She loved to skinny dip and was constantly "losing" her clothes and coming home in a towel.

Finally, the requirements were completed and it was time for Valera to move out and Vanesa could move on.

Generation 5, Chapter 12, Moving to Paradise, updated 7/19/13

Odyssey, Isla Paradiso

Miller Houshold (1006 Pomona Promenade, Appaloosa Plains). Appaloosa Plains has become an inbred town.  After an exhaustive search, Israel Miller is the only male that is not related to Vanesa that I can find.  Therefore, Vanesa and Israel will be making the second allowed discretionary move for this challenge.  Vanesa marries and moves in with Israel who happens to live in the original house that the family started off in when they moved to Appaloosa Plains way back when.  Thankfully, the old man lives alone and has no family.  They then move to Isla Paradiso and settle into an empty houseboat currently moored at Port Placid.

Israel Miller

Living in paradise has its perks.  As Isla Paradiso does not have a film studio, Vanesa decides to "retire" from directing and take up scuba diving.

Vanesa enjoys her time under the water and finds herself spending as much time underwater as possible.

Israel changes his focus from chess to learning to cook.  Of course, they waste no time making a nooboo.

Their first visitor is someone with pregnancy advice.

The local paparazzi is very different from the paparazzi back home.  Very different.

Israel doesn't have many days in paradise, unfortunately.

A mermaid!

Maya Ocean the mermaid comes to visit

An alien shows up and hangs around for several days and then leaves.

Vanesa decides to move the houseboat closer to the school after Erin was born

New mooring at Pretty Port

Vanesa becomes an elder, woohoo.  She better leave a good tombstone because Israel's tombstone was disappointing.

Generation 5, Chapter 13, And Baby Makes Three, updated 7/19/13

Erin MacAnna

The mermaid Ariel walks among us

During the course of her scuba diving, Vanesa discovers three hidden islands, which she promptly sells.  The first one is Plunder Cove.

The she finds Beryl Shores

Finally, the gem she hates to get rid of, but as required, Diver's Den.

Now for the most important part - Baby Erin.  Yes, it is another heiress.  Again, without watermelons.  This makes five generations in a row.

Toddler training has begun.

Israel takes Erin for a swim.  :o

After swimming in the ocean, now they will play in the ocean.

So, we move to a tropical paradise and it snows?  Yeah, makes sense to me.

Living in paradise means homework on the deck of your houseboat

Painting will be the skill of choice this generation and Erin spends her weekends practicing.

Erin will be the first, and possibly only, university bound sim this challenge.  Time to age up and head off on the next chapter.

Generation 5, Chapter 14, Rebelling for Art, updated 7/19/13

Erin's rebellious nature comes out in full force at university as she begins painting grafitti on sidewalks and buildings.

She also buys herself a motorcycle she names the Pink Rebel.  Yeah, she is looking so bad now.

It isn't a good thing when the paparazzi catches you dumpster diving in a short skirt.  Oops.

Despite being rebellious, she still is serious about her art and attends all her classes.

She spends her free time painting.

She even adds a tree here and there.

She finally attends her last lecture...

And becomes a trendsetter with the rebels...

She makes her last speech at the podium...

And critiques her last grafitti...

Her grades are in.  She has a perfect GPA of an A and has achieved her lifetime wish of becoming a Perfect Student.  She has graduated with a degree in Fine Arts.

And now she is home and she has a job as an Art Appraiser.

You are breezing through this! I've been really enjoying this. I checked out the spreadsheet and love how the initials of heirs spell out Cloverleaf. Good idea.

Note: I've tried commenting many times but for some reason my iPad keeps crashing on this one page.

Thanks.  I have been trying to stay with the Irish feel from Dragon Valley on the names but some of the letters are tough.  I liked the idea having a theme with the names and having them spell out something that tied back into that original theme.

I don't get to play today.  Today we drive down and spend the day with the daughter and move her stuff home.

Generation 5, Chapter 15, Houseboats Are Too Small, updated 7/22/13

They really are too small for this challenge...

Once more it is time to move the houseboat.

When Erin returns from university, she begins working as an Art Appraiser which is headquartered in the smuggler's lair.  Vanesa moves the houseboat to Port Prosperous near the lair so Erin has a quicker commute to work.

Now Erin only has to boat straight across to get to work.

No ranting allowed.  I heard deaths are too easy this way so the first time I caught Erin ranting her bullhorn was sold.

The first burglar of the challenge tries to sneak on board the houseboat and fails.

Erin finally gets arrested for "defacing" public property.  She turns her frown upside down though as Suzanna Lio is her last NPC friend that she needed.

Just so you know, you can only die if you rant about death twice. Not just ranting in general.

Congratulations on another complete generation!

Congratulations on another complete generation!

I didn't know exactly how the death was triggered, just had my sister tell me her sim died from ranting (she was paying attention and it caught her off guard) so I wasn't taking any chances with my heiress.  Thanks for the info so I am prepared in the future.  :D

And thanks, I am ready to get started on the next generation.  Definitely looking forward to getting out of the houseboat and back on solid ground.  Houseboats are nice but have their limitations in these challenges.

Generation 6, Chapter 16, Life with Riley, updated 7/28/13

7 Sea Spray Lane, Isla Paradiso

Hamada Household
Erin and Duncan have a private wedding and settle into the spacious house that only has two bedrooms.

Masao Hamada, Candice Mango, and Randall Mango.  Masao is Duncan's brother and Randall is his child with Candice.  They immediately move out and find their own home somewhere else.

Duncan needs a makeover has I really don't like this hairstyle.

And we have our very first heir of this dynasty.  Riley MacAnna will be taking up the reins as a scientist and learning fishing, handiness, and gardening.

Pouty Riley

Defiant Riley

Seriously Defiant Riley

There, he can smile

Working on his grades

Going to take a fishing class

Serious Riley

Riley goes to the prom and this is the romantic interest he comes home with.  He goes over to see what her house looks like and is satisfied with it.  Leeann will be his spouse for the next generation.

Duncan works on mastering cooking and fishing in time to prepare the ambrosia Leeann will need to cure her ghostly-ness.  While ghosts are allowed in the dynasty, I would rather not deal with the actions dropping from the queues that come along with the life state so Leeann will be cured of her affliction post-haste.  After becoming a young adult, Riley throws a party and invites Leeann over and, woohoo, she shows up as a young adult.  Duncan bakes the ambrosia and Riley brings it to Leeann for her to eat.

Once she is no longer a ghost, Riley proposes to her locking in their engagement and his future home.

Now that the details are taken care of, Riley gets a makeover and the ugly hair is gone.

He finds some water that is not frozen and works on super-maxing his fishing skill.  Unfortunately he stays outside too long.  He tries to get back home but he still freezes solid. Oops.  Maybe he should have been wearing something other than his swimsuit.
