Here is my latest attempt at the deca-dynasty.  I am hoping to get this challenge competed this summer.    I have a plan, as always.  This time around I am planning on not planning.  Let's see if that works any better than my other plans.  Oh, and I still won't be actually writing a story, just making notes and such and taking a few pictures here and there.

Shannon evaluates her situation, asks twin brothers Kearney and Breandan O'Shea to move in and after they are settled in the house, she asks her sister, Teagan, to find another place to live.  Now Shannon only needs to choose which of the brothers will be the father of her children.  Breandan, who works with her in Law Enforcement, or Kearney, who is shooting for the stars.


The decision ended up being an easy one as Breandan decided to accuse Shannon of cheating and moved out in a huff.


This meant Kearney was the last man standing.  Shannon and Kearney put on some semi-matching formal clothes and had a private wedding prior to their bundle of joy making an appearance.


Soon afterwards, Caitlin joins the family and the heir is officially here.  She comes in rocking athletic and disciplined and will be taking on professional sports and collecting who knows what at this point.

Thanks!.  As OCD as I am, not planning ahead is going to be a challenge but I really want to get this done before the last expansion is released so I am on a mission now.  If I can just stay focused and not get distracted by work and school and family and real life and stuff.

Good luck! I don't plan much myself, but I do keep a list of possible skills, careers, and collections so that there's no overlap.

I have a list of careers that only require a single skill and that is the extent of my planning this time around. I am going to choose each generation as they are born instead of planning it all in advance. Normally I try to pick skills and careers and collections and buildings and assign to generations before I ever start. But not this time.

Generation 1, Chapter 2, Dragons and Babies and Skills, updated 7/1/13

Caitlin soon is joined by a sister they call Colleen.


They spend time together and with their special dolls while Shannon and Kearney work on their skills.


Caitlin spends her teen years working on her athletic training and completes her skill challenges.


She is very close with her sister, Colleen.  This is a good thing as their parents are busy racking up their skill levels.


Eventually Colleen becomes a teen also and begins painting and playing the guitar.  Colleen will be responsible for maintaining the friendships for the household.


Caitlin obtains the household's first dragon, Lasair.  Lasair is irish for blaze.


After much internal debate, which somehow seems appropriate, Colleen convinces Kearney to discover the potion in order to make her imaginary friend real.  Wiggles joins the family.


Caitlin has identified her future spouse and proposes in order to keep him from slipping away.  Now she just needs to complete her final requirements so she can marry him...

Generation 2, Chapter 4, Moving to a new neighborhood, updated 7/7/13

1006 Pomona Promenade, Appaloosa Plains


O'Reilly Household (61 Ardmore Avenue (Dragon Valley).  Dragon Valley is a lovely world; however, it has ended up being way too dark for my tastes.  So, I have made a command decision to use one of my two discretionary moves early.  The family will be moving to Appaloosa Plains, which I hope will not be a mistake.  To begin the transition, Caitlin finishes up her requirements and marries and moves in with her spouse, Patrick O'Reilly.  They then pack up the family and move to Appaloosa Plains and settle into the empty house at 1006 Pomona Promenade.

As Fiona and Wendell are already elders and won't be leaving appropriate tombstones, they are promptly moved out.  Julie stalks and friends, romances and marries, Booker Simpleton.

As Caitlin finished up her requirements with only days to spare she wasted no time in getting pregnant in bringing in the next generation.  For the record, she is one of my favorite looking spawn of townies.


Knowing she was only going to get one shot at a pregnancy I opted for a multiple birth hoping for twins, yay.


TWINS, darn it, not TRIPLETS!  This isn't the life states dynasty


And on top of everything, I had Julie get pregnant too, not realizing Caitlin was going to have triplets.


My game hates me right now


Patrick had the lifetime wish of acrobat of magician of something so he rerolled into ghost hunter and we decided to collect spirits this generation.


And Caitlin got old.

At some point I forgot to pay some bills, and thought I had another NPC to friend, but somewhere along the way he dropped from the friends panel.


This led to a scary moment as I was not watching, then there was a fire, several deaths, and it took a few moments to sort out who was involved.  The family still walks through the hole every day when entering and exiting the lot.


Thankfully, no one in the family was ghosted.

Leila has spent a lot of time trying to decide which house she wants to move into, which sim she wants to marry.  She has finally made her choice...

Spirits and Dragons


I knew I kept Liam around for reasons other than his unique features.  Babysitters are only available with a kid in the house and since Leila couldn't have a baby until after she moved, Liam needed to help out there.




Patrick's ghost finally showed up for a picture.


I have never had a ghost fight back during the ghost hunting process but Leila found one that refused to go quietly.


Liam did not know when to do with the spawn he created.  Lennon was neglected by both his parent and me.  I am surprised he was never taken by social services.  His bubble was dark red most of the time.


It was with great trepidation that I finally had Liam and Lennon move out having run out of uses for them.


Leila has finally completed her requirements and it is time to marry and move to her new home.

Leila marries Chin-Han and moves into his house, where he lives alone with his many parrots.


Olive is the first born and once again we have a heiress through no manipulation on my part.



Hunter loves his Olive.



What bills?  Are we supposed to pay those bills?


Apparently, if you zap the repo man, he can't repo what he is trying to repo.  Leila zapped him six times before the zapper rebounded back onto her and he succeeded in taking the oven.


Owen continues the family tradition of the weird chin.



The imaginary friends may or may not join the family.  Just in case, their names are Oh Henry and Oreo.


I did not realize how green Leila was until she sat down next to a very blue Olive.


Chin-Han throws many parties as befitting a politician.  The flamingos are recovering from the late night.


Olive was toadified by a local witch while practicing her alchemy.  She will be getting her revenge, if she can remember who it was that did the deed.

Generation 3, Chapter 9, That Went Fast, updated 7/13/13

Still we have dragons


We also have ghost horses running around.


Grim caught me off guard three times.  Normally I am ready for the family deaths and have cleaned out the accumulated happiness points but each time I was surprised by his appearance.  The last time he appeared was for Hunter, the family dog.  It was during a party and the camera didn't move to the event and it took me five minutes to find the urn. 


Olive and Owen were close enough in age that they were able to attend graduation at the same time.  Unfortunately, Leila and Chin-Han had both already passed on.


A new experience for me as an alien comes to visit and actually hangs around and just visits Olive. Faon and Olive spend enough time together to become good friends. 


There was another bug with the imaginary friend.  Oh Henry was never made real; however, he showed up as a teen to talk with Olive and then tried to grow up to match her age.  He hung in his birthday cycle and when I resetsim on him it reset him to a new magic doll which now is just a normal doll.


One of the changes I like - laptops are now usable on the ground and floor and not just on the tables and desks.


Olive throws epic parties.


Olive is just about done so it is time for Owen to move out.  He proposes to his girlfriend and moves out.


Olive picks her mate, uses her elixirs, and makes sure he is ready.  He is a little bit of a challenge as she learns a few of his traits - commitment issues and neurotic.  He will require a little work.




Olive completes her last requirement when she reaches the top of her career and becomes the Master of Mysticism.


She is racing time as she just received a popup regarding the impeding death of a friend so she meets Waylon at his home and they quickly make their relationship official and she moves into his house.
