Can't get a ghost to leave its urn

I fell asleep while playing one night and woke up to find that my central character had died. 
I have her urn placed on the floor and have ambrosia ready to go, only problem is I can't get her to come out as a ghost. It has been a whole sim week now and I had her boyfriend mourn her for a whole day and nothing. She hasn't come out. Ive been hopeing for the oppurtinity from the science lab tonrestore my ghost but it still hasnt come up. Is there anyway to get a ghost out?

Do you have supernatural?  The Philosopher's Stone will add her to your family.

I heard there is a trick that if you change the epitaph to say "She/He who returns." They will come out more often but I've never been able to confirm it.

Buy some fireworks and set off some fireworks near the urn - ghosts come out to see them.
