I'm at it again, another attempt at this. Bunnyman and friends are still on hiatus, but I wanted to try it in Sunset Valley again, and so I did.

I've set seasons to 15 days, I have turned off all occults except for witches and have decided to have a rotating lunar cycle.

Chapter One - The Chosen One.

Garion Geranson is the one that has been chosen to be the founder of this Immortal Dynasty.



His Traits are: Bookworm, Gatherer, Brave, Family Orientated and Loves the Outdoors. He is a witch and has supermaxed alchemy skill and maxed the self-employed alchemist career. As he completed these requirements soon after he became an adult, he changed careers to business and picked up some logic skills for his remaining black ops.

He met people early on, including Agnes Crumplebottom, VJ Alvi and Christopher Steel and asked Agnes and Christopher to move in. Christopher met Emma, kissed her, she melted into his arms and moved in as well. Chris and Emma got married, as did Garion and Agnes. Christopher had three dogs - Skylar, Charlie and Pochie - which came with him as well.



Chris, Emma and Agnes all got makeovers, not just in terms of their clothes and hairstyles, but their traits as well.

Emma - Natural Cook, Artistic, Flirty, Good Sense of Humour, Charismatic

Then Emma fell pregnant.

Followed closely by Agnes.

Emma and Chris had a little girl called Merel.



One day later, Agnes and Garion had a little boy named Barak.



The dogs, all adults, have all learnt to hunt and are bringing back lots of maple leaves and empty packets and feathers.

Emma and Agnes loved their babies and did everything they could together.



Christopher wasn't around much, but he was engaged in a variety of activities to ensure the longevity of the dynasty, long after he, Emma, Agnes, Merel and the dogs were gone.



But Merel and Barak were nooboos, and would age up into toddlers any day now when their learning would begin in earnest.

Chapter Two - There's a Bear in There

Merel grew into a cute toddler, with her hair colour following closely on from her daddy Christopher's hair. She was artistic and easily impressed. Her mummy, Emma as well as Garion and Agnes helped in her learning the necessary toddler skills. Merel had a hand err a foot in her own learning as well.



Barak grew into a bear costume which he wore throughout his toddlerhood. As well as his mummy, Agnes, he had help from his daddy, Garion and Emma in his training. Though like Merel, he put his best foot forward and learned to walk using a walker. Barak was athletic and disciplined.



On their birthdays into childhood, both Merel and Barak picked up photographer's eye. They were best of friends as children and played together every afternoon after school. When they became teens, both were given a book on martial arts, and after reading the books, they began sparring. When the time for prom came, they went as a couple and had their first kiss on the night, becoming a couple. Merel became a savvy sculptor when she became a teen, while Barak became adventurous. Merel has been working on painting and sculpting as well as being a sparring partner for Barak.



Garion had been working away at his requirements, picking up a variety of life time rewards and completing his black ops. He made over 150 friendship potions and ran around town, becoming best friends with all and sundry. He is currently at level 5 of his second career, in business.

Emma is working away at her career as a chef, becoming a 5 star chef one day before becoming an elder.

Christopher is playing around with Science skill currently, as the game is currently in winter. I got him to catch death fish and grow life fruit and death flowers quite early.

Agnes is 90 days. If she manages to live long enough to at least do Garion's elder sculpture, I'll be happy, if not, Merel and/or Emma will have to rush that skill. Garion is one day away from elder birthday, Emma ages up today in game.

The three dogs are all elders, and it is a race between Agnes and the oldest of the dogs to see who will die first.

***A GRIM INTERLUDE***
Garion was sent one day to cut gems on the gem cutting machine in the alchemy store. An elderly townie (who I think was a paparazzi) died, while he was there and so Grim came. Garion is stone hearted, so I was able to return him to his gem cutting. Grim stayed around after the whole ghost scene, complained about the noise from the gem cutter and then headed towards the alchemy station. He started studying alchemy.

Chapter Three - The First Immortal

Garion woke to pains in his muscles and bones and very little sympathy from Agnes or Emma on the Saturday of week 6. It was his elder birthday! A pavilion was set up in the front yard with two ancient looking stone picnic tables and a more modern looking end table between them. Appliances (stereo, bar fridge, dish washer and chocolate fountain) were placed on a couple of counters and the outside party area was established. The family all gathered and cheered Garion's elderhood. After the birthday, but before the cake, Merel was sent off to Le Fromage Art School.

Garion hit the mirror and dresser, "no way am I going to be photographed with that hair or those clothes" he muttered, and came out of it in red clothes and even some facial hair.



Garion posed for Emma to paint him and for Agnes to photograph and sculpt him. While Emma worked, Agnes painted a portrait of Garion as well, and unhappy with the result, tried again. Finally the museum pieces were finished, and it was over to five star chef, Emma.

She retrieved a death fish and a home grown life fruit from the alchemy cabinet and started to prepare Garion's ambrosia, pausing just long enough to replicate it on the replicator purchased by Garion with LTHPs.

After the replication x3, Emma completed cooking the ambrosia and gave it to Garion to eat. With a number of different (and interesting) facial expressions and comments including "I'd much rather be eating a pair of Chris' boots after he's been gardening all day than this stuff", the first of the Guardians became immortal on Sunday of week 7.

Chapter Four - Grim Springs Into Action.

Spring has finally come to Sunset Valley which sees the blanket snow of winter give up its icy grip over the land and the lakes and ponds, but not all the plants.

Merel Steel, daughter of Christopher and Emma Steel was sent to Le Fromage Art School to complete her secondary schooling. On this day, Wednesday of Week 7, day 46 in game (aka 1st day of Spring) she has her last day of adolescence. Meanwhile, Barak has been attending the community school in the valley, and I believe he hits the honour role on Thursday.

When the whole family were home (excepting Merel) and sitting down to dinner or sculpting, a sudden urgent barking from Charlie and Pochie and a whining from Skylar brought the family into the hallway. They arrived there to see Grim appear and take Skylar with him. Skylar, the oldest of Christopher's three dogs had died, aged 47, having lived a full life with her two litter mates, Charlie and Pochie. She had managed to assemble a dinosaur, a hydrant and a 'Our Friend Fred' completely and was working on a diamond dog when the day for her to go with Grim arrived. Her gravestone was put in the front yard of the house, amongst the three items she assembled and the flamingos.

So Grim has come and taken the first member of the Geranson household off with him, a little dog named Skylar who was a lot of help to the household.

The household now consists of 4 elder sims (1 of whom is immortal), 1 teenage sim at le fromage art school (ages up today), 1 teenage sim in Sunset Valley (ages up tomorrow) and two elder dogs.

RIP Skylar, may you dig up no ghostly empty wrappers in the great dog kennel in the sky.

Chapter Five - Everybody has a(n almost) summer holiday.

The day after the death of Skylar saw Barak on his last day of teenagerhood. He opted to go to school in an attempt to get to know more people and to get on the honour role. He achieved the honour roll. When he got home, a family party was held to celebrate his birthday. One of the paparazzi was also in attendance.

Following his birthday, Barak was painted, sculpted and photographed and was also reacquainted with Merel. They kissed in greeting.

Friday of Week 7 was graduation day for Barak and the whole family headed down to town hall for Barak's graduation. He graduated with top honours and as class valedictorian. He was named most likely to be a sports star. As his supermax is martial arts, and after maxing the photography career he is going to turn his focus to professional sports, that is a good bet. Then it was revealed that the family were going on holidays. Each couple to an almost different location.

Agnes and Garion headed off to China and Shang Simla on a short vacation. Garion collected various rocks, gems and metals using the family's collection finder. Meanwhile, Agnes hit the shops for books, tents, martial arts equipment and bikes.

Meanwhile, Emma and Chris had France as their destination. Emma believed she had French ancestry and wanted to check that out. Meanwhile, Chris wanted to catch some more exotic fish than were available back home in the Valley. Emma couldn't confirm her French ancestry, she did, however discover she had a knack for making nectar and came home weighed down with nectar books and nectar machines. Christopher caught enough frogs, snails and crayfish to stock his home pond with them. He also purchased cook books, kempas and other items from France. Emma was also able to improve her visa to level 1.

Finally, Barak and Merel started off with time alone at home together. They went out for a romantic dinner, after which time Barak proposed, likening her hair to gold, and her eyes to jewels, or something like that. Regardless of the specifics, she accepted his proposal and the pair of them got married in an intimate wedding ceremony. Then they went home and had 'fun' together in the all in one bathroom. They tried for baby three times before they were certain a baby was on the way.

On the return of Agnes and Garion, Barak and Merel headed off for their own holiday overseas. Barak was keen to try his feet at the martial arts competition in Shang Simla and his hands at photography.

With the music that heralded my generation 2 spouse was pregnant, I have now advanced further in this challenge than in any other attempt I have made at it.

Chapter Six - Week 8: 3 visits from Grim and 1 from the Stork (and we're only at Wednesday)

While in China with Garion, Agnes discovered an unrealized talent and love of street art. During their trip, she painted murals on the ground and walls of base camp. When she returned home, she continued on with her love affair with street art, decorating the family home with the murals. The fumes became too much for her, and it was in the middle of one of her wall murals that Grim came for her. Garion and the rest of the family were devastated, especially Garion. However, Garion was able to move into his elder accommodation at the back of the house - a 5 by 5 square room that had all the necessary things so he could spend eternity with his needs being fulfilled. This also meant that the room he shared with Agnes could be converted into the children's bedroom for future generations of the family, and the museum room of Generation 3 could be prepared for his arrival. Sadly, Agnes wasn't able to achieve her desire to see her first grandchild. But there were three potential grandparents left in the house, and they were either immortal (Garion) or approximately 10 days younger than Agnes (Emma and Christopher) and the RNG and other randomness of the game could hardly strike any of them down, could it? That was Sunday, day 1 of week 8.

The next day started normally, and Christopher attempted to upgrade the stove in the main kitchen for it to cook better. He stuck a screwdriver or some other metal object into a place where it shouldn't have gone, apparently, because he was fatally electrocuted that morning. Grim came and took him away. The family continued their mourning, and a second potential grandparent didn't achieve his desire to see his first grandchild. That was Monday, day 2 of week 8.

The sun rose on a new day and there was more excitement in the household as Merel started giving birth to the Generation 3 immortal, Lelldorin. Merel's husband, Barak, gave the standard male dance when he realized she was giving birth, and followed her to hospital. Lelldorin was born as an artistic virtuouso who loved the colour orange, rockabilly music and stir fry. After the sadness of the past two days, the family were pleased to have something to celebrate. But the celebration didn't last long, as a whining from the dogs drew the family's attention to the arrival of Grim once again who gently took away Charlie. That was Tuesday, day 3 of week 8.

Barak is working away at his requirements - Level 7 photography career, 5 of his 6 black ops completed, his business and property owned, 2 of his unique LTRs purchased, and 2 of his Martial Arts Skill Challenges locked away. Friends and Martial Arts Comp is next.

Also, Merel is sculpting ice statues currently, trying to get to the 25 of them while Lelldorin is a nooboo and toddler. She has 10 ice sculptures to go and 8 days to do them in. Of course, once she has done another 2 of them, she'll be a Chiselmeister, so she'll be able to do them quicker.

I heard about Chris's untimely death on the main dynasty thread too, and I would be sad, but extra household space is a wonderful thing.

Yes, and he's just returned day 4 of week 8 as well. For the third dog. So, I've now got Emma, Garion, Merel, Barak and Lelldorin in my household. Hopefully he won't be back for anyone (Emma) for at least 10 days.

Tonight when I came to play, Sims 3 refused to open either my current saved game of this family or the back up version of the current saved game of the family. So please, move this to the graveyard for me. It managed to open up all the other saved games I've got just not those two. It is rather annoying.
