Endless Fire
« on: June 21, 2013, 10:06:01 PM »
I don't remember how the situation developed, but I know that a fire started and the firemen arrived, I don't know if it's something I clicked or what but the fire won't stop. My sims are ignoring it and it doesn't affect them. I moved them to a new house and when I checked up on it a few days later the fire is still there! I'll try replacing the house as a last resort as it's overkill. Has anyone else experienced this? Is there a way to get rid of the fire?

That's strange, I've only ever encountered fires like that in sims 2, the closest I've had in sims 3 is a house that spontaneously caught on fire (no fireplaces)

You can turn on testingcheatsenabled true in the cheats panel. Then you have to shift-click whatever object is on fire and delete it. That might work! Good luck!

The floor is the one on fire, and I can't delete it.

That's weird! How did the fire start? I read your first post... do you happen to remember now?

It started as a fireplace fire, I forgot the details because it happened last week but I remember only one tile of fire remaining, I even removed everything around the fire, including the fireplace , but nothing works.

Can you click on the fire at all or have any interactions with it?

The cursor is greyed out when I hover over it, so no interactions, no shift clicking too.

I'll try that tonight. Although how does a cheat that affects sims work on fire?

Well I am not sure. I do not know if reseting the whole town only resets people or resets object too. Its worth a try I suppose.
