Crashing everytime a Sim uses the dresser.

Every time I send a Sim to use the dresser my game crashes. I have done all the usual things like deleting caches. I have replaced the dresser,I have waited until 24 and 48 hours after a birthday to use the dresser.
Still crashes to desktop. I could live with my Sims aging up in random outfits but I would rather not if I can help it.

Any advice please.

Does it happen in new files as well as old files?

Hi,

That could possibly be bad CC.  Did you download anything from the exchange?  I don't do that anymore at all.  I had that problem with another game after downloading custom content.  It's just not worth it.  Every time I went to the dresser my game froze up and I couldn't do anything to get out of it.  I had to push the button on my laptop to shut it off.  It was terrible.

I don't have any cc not even official store content at the moment. I am going to try a  factory reset and see if that helps.

Is it the one sim or all of the sims?  I had a sim who kept crashing the game whenever she went to the dresser in her work outfit.  Every time she changed jobs or got a new career outfit the game would 'forget' it, she wouldn't change to go to work, and if I forced her to work it only registered as her 'going to work' rather than 'working.' If I accidentally sent her to the dresser while in her broken career clothes the game would crash.  My only workaround was to change her into everyday clothes then add a career outfit using the plan outfit option.
