Sim Doesn't Know She's Pregnant

  One of the female sims in my game finally got pregnant--and it's very strange. There was no "spin," she just got out of bed one morning in maternity wear. She doesn't have the usual "pregnant" moodlet, or maternity leave. I don't know if she actually can go to work, since there hasn't been a workday since her pregnancy started. There's no option to "Announce Pregnancy" or "Request Feel Tummy etc." when talking to other sims. There's no option at the Hospital to get Medical Advice, but her mother (who's a World-Renowned Surgeon) can "Give Amazing Medical Advice." She can't register for another job, because it says that option is unavailable for pregnant sims--which is normal.

  I've tried clearing the caches and resetting her. I'm worried that she won't be able to give birth, or something else harmful will happen. Is this a normal glitch, or does it have anything to do with the recent patch?

Sounds like she's super glitched.   Two choices might be to move her out and back in or to go back to a save before she tried for baby.

I had a townie impregnated before the patch and when she came over, she was clearly in maternity wear and had a small bump yet none of the actions like "Feel Tummy" were there. She came over the next day and everything was fine again.

I'd suggest not saving until after the birth, or if you do have to make sure it's a Save As and called something else - just in case it's a bug and she doesn't give birth.

Feel Tummy and all that will not appear until the last 24 hours I think.

She's in a dynasty game, so choices are a little more limited.

I save pretty extensively, so I do have saves from before she got pregnant. She tried for baby in the Steam-It-Up Sauna, so I could be sure she had a girl--could that have something to do with it?

That didn't effect me when I did it but I will say that one time I tried for girl in the sauna and still got a boy.   So it's not a guarantee.

Good to know. I'm also having her eat watermelons like her life depends on it.

Edit: Okay, the birth went off without a hitch. The interaction popped up and I was able to choose the baby's traits and everything. I was pretty worried for a while, so this is quite the relief.
