Problems with New Patch 1.55

There is a mod nointro.package that make the game to skip those videos. Maybe you can try it and see if game loads faster.

I will. Right now, I'm working on trying to get my first immortal. I'm so close I can't seem to leave it alone

Has anyone figured out if the bug affects brand new saves yet? I was planning on starting my Immortal Dynasty this weekend but if we haven't really figured out what's going on with it I might hold off for a bit.

I made a new Sim in CAS yesterday (Oz time) and cannot save the game.  I'm going to try it with an old game and see what happens.

To skip the intro video I just press 'Enter' as soon as the music starts.    I'm too impatient to play, I guess.

Apparently the walking on water is due to the fact that IP will have guys coming to us over the water but of course they don't have their water vehicles yet.  This will be most likely fixed by owning IP not sure about those not planning to get it.

Sorry, I may have posted in the wrong thread. One I started was moved a couple times but I was wondering about the really slow skilling bug now. I think someone said it only affected saved games from before the patch but I wasn't sure if anyone tested it out yet?

That thread was merged with this one.   And I did some testing.  None of my new games have been effected only previously saved Sims so far.  And even then I had at least one file change from slow to semi normal just because I exited without saving and did something different.   In one case , I chose to not go to the library with the motive mobile and that's all the little girl needed to learn at normal speed.

I installed the patch, couldn't even open the game, black screens etc.
I uninstalled and reinstalled then used the super patch and haven't had any issues at all so far.

Thanks for that napoleon.   Anyone here play a non English version of the game that can confirm or deny the stylist glitch is fixed?

My understanding is that when you are a stylist and go into the makeover room that the text for what the customer wanted was never translated properly which caused people to fail the job.

In an old save I changed a sim into stylist profession. I played few days and I did 6 makeovers. 4 were checked as completed in the left toolotip (the green checkbox) and 2 of them failed.

The ones that failed were:
New clothes for party in home (1 of Everyday, 1 of Formal and 1 of Swimwear)
New Everyday clothes (2 of Everyday)

The ones that worked were:
New sleepwear
New facial hair
Total change (1 of Everyday, 1 of Formal, 1 of Sleepwear, 1 of Athletic and 1 of Swimwear)
Adult clothes (3 of Everyday, 2 of Formal, 1 of Sleepwear, 1 of Athletic, 3 of Swimwear, 1 of facial hair, 1 of hairdo)

I used all EP but Seasons (so no outdoor clothes) and the game is spanish.

Thanks aenito.  I'll pass this along.   Was everything translated properly or do you think something was wrong still?

The translation is good, no english words anywhere if that's what you ask. Also it is consistent, always use the same word for each game term.

The problem is that with some (few) jobs shows, when you exit CAS the goals in the left the tooltip are not checked and you get a message "you failed to do what the client asked for".

I will play a stylist from 1 to 10 and take notes.
