Update on other issues:   Rabbit holes that are within 3 squares of the sidewalk will cancel actions.   The only rabbit holes that do this are the Monte Vista combined bookstore, Twinbrook Bookstore and all but the science center in Lunar Lakes.

I haven't had a chance to patch as my laptop is away getting fixed and when it comes back I will have reinstall all sims games.

I noticed today when placing some community lots that the list of lot types are now in alphabetical order instead of being listed by expansion order.
I know it's a minor change but it's something I've been wanting for awhile. Makes finding the lot type your looking for a lot easier.

Did the "purchase additional home" travel and real estate interaction start with the latest update?
Because now I can purchase another home and move between them without going to the edit town screen. I also keep my other home.

Yes, patch 1.55 added both of these features. I'm merging this thread with the 1.55 Thread.

I just updated my game and realized that they added spiral staircases to the base game!!

This is more of a interesting note than anything else, but I noticed that more same-sex attraction notices are popping up when I was playing my Townie DD file after the patch.

I've also noticed a larger amount of same-sex attractions. I started a new file after patching up. Two YA Sims, engaged. I had the female sim going through the computer doing the "chat with someone" interaction to build up the number of relationships she had, when all of a sudden it pops up that she has a naughty reputation. Apparently she started chatting with Agnes Crumplebottom and went from not knowing each other to romantic interest with their first conversation.

I'm thinking, like most things with the patch that are hit or miss, the "loading a paused game" fix is also hit and miss. I'm not plagued by the slow skilling bug, but my current file that is pause-saved still loads as unpaused. On the plus side, I save when they're asleep, so at least the game now loads at speed 3 during sleep, instead of speed 1.

If it makes any difference at all, the sims in question are at University.

Edit: Ok, so the bug apparently affects University students, but not homeworld Sims. Weird.

Has anyone else noticed that when you press the build/buy button while you're on a lot you own, you automatically go into build/buy on that lot and not your home lot! I can't count the amount of times I had accidentally done that but now it shall be on purpose.

Really? That's wonderful news! It was awful when I accidentally clicked Build Mode instead of 'Build on this Lot' in The Bachelorette because the Bachelorette Mansion takes ages to load, so it wasn't a quickly-fixed mistake. It was, 'Oops. Well, might as well go make a sandwich.'

Is anyone having problems with the self-employment alchemy career?  I can't list it as a career at City Hall.  I have checked all of my towns, with sims who have mastered the skill a nd ones who have just started; none of them can sign up for it.

Frustrating, as in a town project one of my founders has that as her career and now I have to change it.
