Patch 1.55

Well, since University came out I've been unable to build a secondstory addition - as soon as I try to save after construction, the game crashes. The only way I've been able to bypass this is when I build the house in Edit Town before I purchase the property.

Have you tried it with the crin approved waiting 24 Sim hours before saving method?  It's done wonders for a lot of folks.

Also twallan says that the extremely slow skilling has nothing to do with the former fast skilling and no one knows at this time why it's effecting some Sims.  Seems to only be pre-patch games though.

Before going into my game again I did the patch as well as pre-ordered Island Paradise. Then I went into the game and I have a bunch of new items that have the little symbol on them that means 'store item'. Was this from the patch or from pre-ordering Island Paradise? The items are Island Paradise themed.

Items I've noticed are -

2 low level windows, one square, one slanting upwards
2 new palm trees
Sauna
new hot tub
birds of paradise plant
double bed

I haven't bought anything from the store, or downloaded Island Paradise, I just pre ordered a hard copy. Very confused!

Sauna and bird of paradise plant came with Sunlit Tides.  Any way I could get you to shoot a picture to me?  I already owned these items so I wouldn't have noticed them.

I had moved a home from a small lot to a larger lot and then remembered that we are supposed to be able to set the locations, not forced to place in the middle. 

Are there instructions on how to do some of the new procedures, the house on stilts, the positioning of lots and other "stuff" somewhere?

I haven't had a chance to actually look into this.  I know exactly what I'm doing before bed. 

Update on other issues:   Rabbit holes that are within 3 squares of the sidewalk will cancel actions.   The only rabbit holes that do this are the Monte Vista combined bookstore, Twinbrook Bookstore and all but the science center in Lunar Lakes. 

There is an issue where Sims will reset when trying to order food or drinks from professional bars.  All professional bars need to be replaced.  The most likely culprit is going to be because of the new coding for the pool bar coming in Island Paradise.

You have to place a lot that is smaller than the lot you're working on.   I placed a 32 x 32 home on a 64 x 64 and this is how it looked.



The controls in the bottom right corner are the new ones that were added in.



I also learned not all lots are in the direction you think they are.  Here is the way it looked when I moved the house to one corner.    If you click on the pictures, they will become larger.

I haven't had a chance to patch as my laptop is away getting fixed and when it comes back I will have reinstall all sims games.

How strange, I just had a peek at the store, the bed, sauna, plant and small palm tree come with Sunlit Tides, the rest with Lucky Palms.

Wish somebody would give me a free sauna

On the lots, I placed a 20 x 30 on a 30 x 40, so that might be why I didn't see an option.  I could have missed it, as my granddaughter was talking, as normal, non-stop.  I have  considered duct taping her mouth shut.  Her brothers have asked if it can be done a couple of times.    
She actually stated she likes to hear her voice so she talks all the time.  An eight year old who says she deserves the best because she is so special.  Fist step on the way to becoming narcissistic?  Spoiled prima donna, as she mother states (and I agree with her).

I'm interested in talking to someone who plays the game in non english.  The stylist career was supposedly fixed and Crinrict wanted to know it if it really was working for everyone.

Has anyone else had a problem where you can't get your sims to enter any rabbitholes? None of my legacy sims can enter any rabbithole except for the equestrian centre. All the other rabbitholes are from Lunar Lakes.
