Did you sell the furniture or pack it with you?

Sold it, as per the dynasty rules he left that house with nothing, left the doll on the bedroom floor and sold the house with furniture as his parents were both gone, had no doll when I saved the family to the bin for moving but had it when I put them down in Sunset Valley, as I said they are just odd 

I just tested that theory of making a pre dead playable first, that worked fine for keeping them in the family tree, having played about with Riverview in CAW I know all the dead sims are in random households together and in the empty houses about town, when you start a new game they get bumped off and assigned to their respective tombstones, I guess that makes the game not see them the same hence it not working when you move.

I had a play about with the lots while in Sunset Valley, I put a 64x64 in the water and just to see if I could stuck the movie studio on it, I was curious if it would get automatic stilts underneath but it just pulled the ground up  Shame as I recently got Serenity Retreat and had visions of putting it out on the water but it wont work as I'd hoped.

The new patch brought the ability to make the new ghosts in CAS:

I scanned through the Patch Notes and didn't see this:

I can now collect funds from properties and businesses that I own automatically, instead of having to send a sim there to retrieve them manually! A huge time-saver.

I just did more testing.   Items put on external lots still do not appreciate even if they are your own private lots.

In map view, with a property I go to real estate and there's an option to "Collect X Simoleons" with the little orange circle that indicates that it's automatic. With a business, there's just the option. Basically, it's where I would usually collect from, but there's no need to send a sim.

Mine did not display correctly at first.  I removed the version.tag file from the game folder.  It will be recreated when you start the game and should reflect the correct version right on the display screen in the lower left corner.   Lot's of improvements with this patch but am still testing mods and CC.  There are some problems but have not found anything monumental.....yet.  Mostly with tuning mods that will eventually be updated by their creators.

Ut oh.   I just took a toddler to the library and it took them all day to learn the xylophone.   And it took 9 tries on the potty chair at home.  The child is a vampire.


Edit: This was a file that at one time had been effected by the fast skilling bug. 

Took a vamp kid out of CAS and taught him things at the normal pace.. there is nothing fast about a toddler vampire learning anymore looks like.

Edit 2:  Also sounds like there is a bed that was supposed to come with the patch and not everyone got it.

I am patched up but haven't gone in game yet. Might be brave once I have taken the kids to school.

I am so glad about the sims 3 university fix . I did read on facebook that some people have some trouble that there patch but thy have cc and mods .

Yes I am so glad that this update is available I been hoping that they would fix the unusable bills and other glitches.

I think we may have also been given some new terrains: MV Stone, AS Soil, AS Rock and AS Geothermal. Can't see any other textures apart from those but still it's always nice to have new textures!

Oh, boo. Normal pottying is usually 4 tries, yes? If it also affects adults learning skills, that might have been the one thing EA could have done to the Fast Skill bug that would have actually made the overall situation worse... except that there are a lot of ways to increase a sim's rate of skill learning, and not so many to slow it down.
