Do you think that sometimes we expect too much? I mean we get bombarded with teaser trailers,there is so much talk for months in advance and somehow it never is quite as good as it appears to be?
RunAmokSims, I've learned (maybe it's muh old-age or I'm jaded!
)
not to expect too much from Expansion Packs / Stuff Packs. It's hard to tell how your own style of play is gonna' mesh with what toys they offer in the sandbox. For example, I really thought
Open for Business looked lame as all-get-out in the Sims2, and it turned out to be one of the "funnest" Expansions they offered in the Sims2 (for me, of course! I know other folks that loved
Pets, and I hardly touched any of
that content in-game, other than to make some cats).
However, the "stream" of new content / game-play the Expansions / Stuff Packs offer players is a major reason the Sims Franchise has done so well over time (and why those of us who may not be playing for a while "come back" when new content is offered or a new Expansion Pack rolls out). I just try not to get over-excited or buy-in to the enthusiasm that explodes in the Sims Community when a new Stuff or Expansion pack is announced.
And HappyTime, thanks a million!
