Thought I'd add a new picture of the Dancing Skill journal.   Using the ballet barre raises athletic as this venue is a gym but the dance mat raises the dancing skill.

I have used the barre and floor in a house I built. Kyvara, child, has gotten level 4 in the dance skill from the barre mainly, but no athletic at all, unless that'll kick in at teen.

Children can't get the athletic skill so she'll either learn it upon aging or she won't.  I can try it really quick though as I'm in a game with a child about to age up.


Edit:  Using the barre and dance floor does not automatically grant athletic skill as a teenager

That is so awesome ! Congrats ! I'm sure you won't be disappointed . I just love mine . My sim just started doing ballet . Great venue .

All I can say, I have not laughed so hard, until I saw them do the chicken dance and mascot dance.  Has to be the funniest thing ever.

So just when you think you'll try out the dance studio by yourself, half the townies show up. 



That's my Princess Di reject Sim behind Xander.  I figured out if anyone should learn to dance it would be her. 



Really Buster, you can't dance in those shoes!  I wish they had included appropriate dance shoes in the set!

This is so cool! I'm wondering though--did they include anything else for performing arts, or is it just for dancing? I mean is there a stage somewhere?

There is a stage with a guitar on the bottom floor.   The venue itself is a gym.   It has gym equipment, a hot tub, lockers (which work like dressers), bathrooms, two dance studios and a stage with seats.  The stage is not attached to the showtime careers because it needed to be base game.  I'll see if I can snag a bunch of shots of the floors in a little bit.

Excellent. Thank you. So are the lockers new content as well? There were lockers before but as far as I know they are purely decorative.

The lockers came with the venue but they are not premium content just every day dressers that look like gym lockers.
