Description:Welcome to the Iron Maiden, an airship like no other! Currently docked in Bridgeport, this state-of-the-art ship was owned by famous merchant adventurer Virginia Melroy, but has recently been put up for sale on her retirement. Hydrogen balloon not included (due to a rather large puncture sustained on her latest adventure. . .)
Good day, aspiring adventurer! My name is Virginia Melroy, and this here is my (in)famous airship
the Iron Maiden. Shall I give you a tour?
Firstly, you will be delighted to note that the engine room is fully equipped with the alchemical equipment needed to power a state-of-the-art airship. It also doubles as a workshop- you can see me here mending the neutron-flow polariser, which was on the blink a few days ago. (it got a jelly baby stuck in it somehow. hmm?)
The observation deck has seating for whenever I have guests over (which I often do). All deck furniture is bolted down securely, though I advise hanging onto the cushions whenever the ship is maneuvering. They have a tendency to escape. The observation deck also houses the navigational scryer, essential for avoiding lightning storms and other air hazards.
The lounge is on the upper floor from the observation deck, allowing the passengers a cosy area in which to socialise.
The lounge is conveniently located near the bridge, where the large windows allow easier navigation. The ship can be piloted solo (I've been doing so for years), though the original manual recommends two or more pilots. (I disagree with the manual a lot though. I think I 'lost' it in a sky shark swarm . . .)
Shall we go below decks? My cabin and the bathroom are located on the same floor as the observation deck and the engine (So I can get there quickly in emergencies). My cabin is quite small, but cosy and warm.
The guest bedrooms are identical, and located directly below my cabin and the bathroom. I've left books there, which countless of my passengers have enjoyed. You might enjoy them too.
The gangway between the guest bedrooms and the galley is mainly so we have extra room for cargo. I hope you aren't afraid of heights! (though considering you're in the market for an airship, you shouldn't be).
The galley itself is quite spacious. There are also machines here for removing oil stains from clothes. All cupboards have locks to stop them opening during maneuvering.
Last but not least, the storage bay is at the hull of the ship, allowing for easier access. It is a bit cluttered, but the junk can easily be removed. I personally quite like it, it gives the room character.
So there you have it. A complete airship, waiting for a new captain. Why am I retiring, you ask? Well, I've been in the air for the last 35 years. My bones are getting creaky and I'm just not as able to go adventuring around the globe as I used to. I hope that if you do buy the Maiden, you take her on as many wonderful adventures as I took her on.
Oh, one last thing I forgot to mention. You'll need to get a new hydrogen balloon for the ship. The last one got punctured by sky pirates.
