Which makes World Adventures strawberry and Ambitions chocolate, or the other way around?
As you may guess, this is an enormous important and absolutely serious question! :O
Leto, from reading this thread, I think you are really asking what we are talking about when we call a game 'vanilla', aren't you? If so, hope the following helps and if not, my apologies.
Calling a game (or software program) 'vanilla' means the most basic version that does not have any special features. So the release of The Sims 3 in June 2009 was the 'vanilla' version. For some reason the English language also considers the word 'vanilla' (when used as an adjective) to mean something is basic, plain, dull or ordinary.
When Carl said 'Now I guess I've got a Neapolitan blend of vanilla, strawberry, and chocolate', he was just making a
play on words that World Adventures and Ambitions were also ice cream flavors.
Now back on topic - I think the patches enable everyone to make use of the cheats whether they have the EP's and/or SP's installed or not mainly because the updates ususally always affect something in the base game.
