Ahahahahhhahaha, well, to be fair. He did not know at the time.

Nope, he didn't know, so I can him some slack.  Wonder if from that line the infant died?
Or did she have to pass it off as her hubby's?

Like the way this is heading, definitely keeping me on my toes on trying to figure out what is going to be next.  Always a surprise.

Awesome chapter. I'm with Luther all the way. I don't think he's a bad guy. Maybe he should put a memory spell on Mrs. Elliot, lol. I don't feel sorry for her. You have to pay to play ;)

Oh no! Haha, I don't think the infant dying would be content permitted on these boards. Not too family friendly. The baby is healthy, and you'll be meeting him/her on the next update.  :)

He's got different plans for Mrs. Elliot. But you do have to pay to play.  ;)

Chapter 8: Vows

"So this is why you turned me away, Luther? I thought it was about responsibility!"

"It was! I had no idea that Jackie was pregnant!"

"You were with her! I didn't think..."

"I told you. You have to find someone else! This just makes it easier for you. I'm trying to help you."

"Yeah, by sleeping around. Really helpful."

"We're not together, Oswin. You're not being fair."

She stormed out of the house to collect herself. It was even more irritating to know that he was right. She didn't have any claim, so she didn't have any right to be angry with him. To cool down, Oswin enlisted the help of a frosty friend.

It cleared her head. She was going to have to face facts. She had a job to do and that did not include marrying or otherwise being involved with Luther Knight.

"I'm sorry," she told him the following day. "You're right. I know we're just friends. I shouldn't have exploded like that."

"I guess it makes sense. It would be pretty upsetting to lose a treasure like me."

"Oh, shut up. I'm sorry I apologized," she said, rolling her eyes.

He grinned. "You should be sorry you're wearing those boots with that dress."

"I love these boots! They were the first shoes I saw coming out of the basement. I've imprinted on them."

"Are you going to wear them on your wedding day?"

"Probably."
--------------------------------------------------------------

When Luther saw his daughter for the first time, he knew immediately that she was the most perfect creature he'd ever seen.

"You better soak this in, Luther, because you'll never see that girl again," Jackie hissed from the doorway.

He turned to look at the mother of his child and his eyes darkened like the sky before a storm.

"No, my dear," he said. "I'm going to see her every day, and you are going to give her to me."

"I most certainly won't! You're reprehensible, Luther. I won't have my daughter growing up under your influence."

"I think you'll see it my way soon, Darling."

"And make sure that divorce with your husband goes through," he drawled.

"Delilah," Luther said to his daughter. "You'll be back where you belong soon enough, I promise."

Jackie called Luther a few days later with the good news. "The divorce is done, my love. And I won the house in the settlement! I'm so pleased to finally be only yours."

"Oh, and me too. There's just a few more things I need from you, beautiful."

"A 'yes.'"

"And an 'I do.'"

Oh, that Luther's such a romantic.  Or not.  It's sweet to see him find his daughter so wonderfully perfect.  She is rather adorable.  So...is Luther going to move into the Eliott house and leave Oz where she is?  Town Jump rules dictate that you can't move to a different lot...or are you using the new IP feature and simply owning more than one home?  Must say, I love that new feature!

I'm on the fence about this, Kase. How come Mrs. Elliot, that muscle faced hag, gets the guy and the baby?! Could you answer that please?

Ah, Oswin. You're so not going to be happy about what Luther is up to. I guess I have to be patient to find out myself ;D

I can readily believe that he has a heart of almost gold under that black one he has beating in his chest, so I wonder what he is up to now.
And I wonder what Oswin is going to say about the baby, the marriage and where she is going to live.  I can just see her living with them and her jealous of the X-Mrs. Elliot.  (NOT)

He's def not moving into her house, so don't worry! I'm not breaking any rules. :)

She does have a weirdly muscular face. It's always looking kind of melty in pictures. And I will just say that you will understand all in the next update! It will just make you love Luther more, I think, haha.

Oswin has it pretty rough. She's too sweet to understand all of this craziness, and she wants so badly to be happy for Luther even if it upsets her.

And as always, thanks for reading and commenting, guys!

Heck has no fury like a woman scorned. I'm starting to think (like my golden haired apprentice, Wiry) that once Oswin finds out what's what, she's going to be Heck on Hells (or rather, Heck on Boots)! Cackel, cackle. *must go listen to Pistol Annies now*

Chapter 9: Lying in the Snow

She had not expected Luther to get married, and perhaps, she might admit to herself, it made her sad. But she had someone in her life who was very good at making her happy. So she decided to ask him to make her happy for the rest of her life.

And of course, with his feelings for her as strong as they were, he said yes. And in front of a small gathering of friends, Oswin and Chin were married.

And yes, she did wear her boots.

Due to the sudden influx of funds (mostly thanks to the divorce settlement of Jackie and her husband), they were able to build a much more suitable dwelling for the 4 adults and one child to live in.

Luther had but one request of the house: a weeping willow out in the back corner where he, Jackie and Delilah could picnic in the spring.

"The house is beautiful, Luther. I'm so glad our families are staying together," Oswin said, admiring their simple home.

"Not much in the way of furniture, but that will come. I think my room only has a bed."

"There's a dresser in there too."

"Oh, good. Otherwise, it might look empty," he said, watching Oswin's smile and taking that to mean she still hadn't quite got the hang of sarcasm.

"It's been a really long day. I think I'm just going to head to bed. Thanks for everything, Luth."

"You got it, Kid."

But Luther's night wasn't yet over.

"Jackie, my love," he drawled, finding her in their new dining room. "I have a present for you."

"You do? I love presents."

"I know you do. It's the christen our new home. I'd keep it a surprise, but I need you to be ready."

"Ready?"

"Yes, I had forsaken some furniture in our room so that I could purchase a hot tub." He grinned. "Why don't you get dressed and we'll go take a dip."

She gasped in delight. "A hot tub! Luther, that's fantastic!"

"I put it out behind the Willow. To give us some privacy."

"You're so smart, Baby."

"A genius," he said as she walked to the room to get changed.

"Close your eyes," he told her before he led her to the back of the property.

"Keep them closed, my dear. I have one more treat."

"Oh, Luther! It's so cold! Can't we just get in the hot tub now?"

"No, this is romantic. Take a bite of this. It's an aphrodisiac."

Jackie laughed softly, taking the treat in her hand. "Oh, fine, Luther. If you say so."

"I do," he said.

And the rest of the house slept just as soundly.

Non-impactful comment:  Oz' hair looked fantastic at the wedding.
Relevant comment:  Luther is rapidly gaining all sort of street cred among evil Sims, I'm thinkin'.
Speculative comment:  The weeping willow will have more relevance than hiding the (assumed) murdered missus.
    Excellent update!

Oz likes your boot comment. She is all about the boots. I think, however, it might take a little more for her to get to be Heck on anything, haha.

Non-impactful answer: I should post the full body of her at the wedding! She looked very pretty.
Relevant answer: Luther is a bit more subtle than the other evil simmies. He won't get into a fist fight in public, but he might cut a gas line in someone's kitchen. Phew, it feels good to talk about Luther's evil trait. He was doing a decent job at hiding it for a while there.
Speculative answer: We shall see!

She is truly a vision!  Great job.  Our little girl looks all grown up.  Must admit, I had still been thinking of her very much in "child" terms given her level of naivety.

I was glad to see her in her wedding outfit and she is definitely a beautiful woman.  Like Peregrine said, our little girl is all grown up, and quite a vision.

I still think that Luther has hidden a somewhat heart of gold somewhere under all the black covering.

A part of me want Luther to make an obvious change so they can marry and have the HEA (happy ever after) and yet I also want (Oswin) her to have a happy life with Chin.
