Intro into Sims

Are the families in the intro real? Just curious because they look really cool, haha. So are they playable townies or something? I have always wondered that..........

They are made up ones by EA but if you watch you'll notice some recognizable people - like VJ Alvi and Xander Clavell.

Thank you  that's awesome how they included the real ones. I will look closer next time I go into sims. The family just looks awesome. Because if you think about the the family were the wife is pregnant he is carrying the grand kid I the old couple. And that's a 3 generation sim family and I just like ea portrayed it. Then there is the adorable little boy and his dad ( I love their house) and the random young single lady. How they all have a family reunion at the beach. I just love that intro.

There is a scene in the gym with the scrawny teenager and two men flexing muscles in front of the mirror, those two men remind me of Hunter Cottoneye and George Dean from Riverview, but I may be wrong there. Makes you wonder though if EA used them for that and then thought these two guys look okay lets put them in the new town.

Have you noticed that one of the houses in the intro is located on that vacant lot beside the Frio's on Sun Song Boulevard.  I always move the Fire Station to that lot to free up the 40x40 lot it is automatically placed on.

So you can move houses, etc where you want them? Even  community lots  like parks?

Sure you can.  Go into Edit Town and bulldoze the building and redesignate the lot to whatever you want.  I want the 40x40 lots for the Alfresco Street Market or the kindergarten.  In Edit Town there are a number of buildings premade including all the newer community lots.  Just place the building you want on the lot you prefer.  I have a number of redesigned Sim worlds in my bin which have the lots just where I want them and not where EA placed them.
