Custom Content Trouble
« on: June 08, 2013, 09:25:27 AM »
I've been having trouble with CC files. They've been making my infants invisible. Usually, this isn't too much of a problem, because I can just age them up immediately. However, I'm trying to do my first immortal dynasty, and this isn't allowed. The baby in question is the heir. I heard that the problem was from a clothing item slotted as an infant outfit when it wasn't. I've gone through and deleted all the bad files I could find, but the baby's still not showing. I am hesitant to stop using CC all together, because most of my Sims in all of my games have it on. To find the bad file, I should take it all off and put it back on bit by bit right? My question is, if I take it all off and put it back on, what will it go back to the way it was before, or will all of it randomly assign?
Please take a look at my story, the Thousand House!

In your case, the best way is to remove all CC and then replace it a handful at a time to see what the problem is. To do this, I would recommend doing a Factory Reset. Just make sure you keep your old Sims 3 folder. With your new folder, you can use the same save or start a new game entirely. Then you can add CC back little by little to determine the problem. Once you think you've got it figured out, then you can go to your old Sims 3 folder, delete the bugged CC and continue your game as usual. :)

I'm sorry, redmare, but we don't offer support for third party custom content issues.  I don't recommend using CC for exactly the reasons you have described.  It can really mess your game up sometimes.  You got a good answer from MoonsAreBlue, so I'm going to lock this topic now.
