At first I was like what the heck was EA thinking when they decided to do this. Don't we have enough Medieval and dragon period games out here? Now we our Sims doing it? But after I read this thread I definitely see what they were thinking. There are a lot of people itching to have their simmies sword fighting and taking over kingdoms in metal armor. And I am so happy they chose to make it a separate game. Because its not Sims 3. For us guys that are-Metro I hope you don't mind if I use your word, 'uninitiated', I would not want to have that as an EP. I don't stray from the main premise of Sims. I don't even take interest in the Stories series or the Cast Away version. I didn't even do Sims On-line. I guess I'm just not open to change. I can handle evolution but not change.  :D

Metro that would be so awesome for you to meet Carl. Its even cool that you guys even talk on the phone. I don't think there's anyone even close to me.

PS... I too am jealous you are cruising in a golf cart.  :-[

I do. We're practically live on the same planet so we can call each other neighbours.

On another note: I'm not sure if this has mentioned before but still I'm wondering why The Sims 3 Medieval is called Medieval. The thing is with all those magical creatures such as dragons and wizards that I personal would call it The Sims 3 Fantasy instead. But it's to late to change that of course. :P

A lot of the Myths and Legends are set in the Medieval/Dark Ages so I think it is appropriate. However being historically accurate is another thing.  :D

Can't wait!  It's been a long time since I've been this excited about a game release!  Planning to pick it up at the store on my way home from work tomorrow. :)

The two sites still say March 24, but a couple of interviews on simprograms, they said it is released today and of course gerrr just got hers.  Go figure.  I will be going to Target when it opens, because they usually get them the day before and put them out early, at least I hope so. :)

Actually it was simprograms, sims3 site and snooty sims.  It doesn't matter, I am on my way out to Target anyway, lol.

Edit:  Just goes to show, you can't believe everything you read, lol.  Getting ready to install Sims Medieval.  You know where I will be today. :)

Living vicariously thru you today, Saltypaws.  Target has it advertised as on sale today, but my daughter sprung too many things she need for soccer this week, can't get it.  Make sure to let us know what you think!

Yeah and I pre-ordered it but my classes end April 30th so I'll have even more time to play around with it.

Ah gerr I'm so jealous! I'm not even sure when mine is supposed to come in. I haven't even gotten any shipping information yet :(
I hope you enjoy yourself and tell us how it goes!!!

I pre-ordered it via digital download. I'm going mildly insane though because I'm having to wait. I think I should've went to buy it instead of waiting for the online purchase because there's no telling when I will be able to download it.
