Oh now, you don't really think we'd leave you in the lurch without a Guide for Sims Medieval, do you?  We have plans to have a seperate Guide for the new game.  :D

Well thank goodness for that! That settles it for me I will be buying it.

I was hoping for that! Are you planning on a seperate linking website, or are the plans to split the original website into two parts: Medieval and regular Sims 3 game?

This game kind of looks like a combo of a few games that I love: Heroes of Might & Magic and Tropico.  Tropico might seem like an odd similar game, it's about being a south american dictator and ruling your island country.  But the part that seems the same is that you have to choose your King's strengths and weaknesses.  And for Heroes, you build a building and that building gives you certain stats/characters that you can then make use of.  Plus having neighboring countries that you come in contact with.

I think it looks great!  Can't wait to get my hands on it. :)

It will be a separate stand alone site with its own website address.  We actually just decided on the name for it tonight.  Carl's Sims Medieval Guide.  We won't have a separate Forum for it, though.  I'll probably just make a Sims Medieval board here for discussions.

Yes, that would be pretty convenient.

Sims3 Medieval is now available for preorder from Amazon.

 http://www.amazon.com/Sims-Medieval-Mac/dp/B002I0KOLA/ref=sr_1_1?s=videogames&ie=UTF8&qid=1284403740&sr=1-1

Hope that works.  I'm not good at posting links.  You can also reach the site from SimPrograms which I believe is our affiliate?  Correct me if I'm wrong, please.

The cost is $49.95 US with free shipping.  Outdoor Living is also available for pre-order from there.  Helloooooo, Christmas wish list!
(A note in my stocking saying it was pre-ordered would be gift enough for me!)
What?  Grannies can't play games?
I speak perfect Nooblik, (and some Simlish)!

Well the sims 2 castaway has goals for you to complete. Maybe it will be like that.

It might have goals, but I really doubt it will be the same as Sims 2 Castaway.  This is going to be a completely new game from Electronic Arts.

Maybe so.  I've only played Sims 3, so I have no experience with any of the other expansions or spin off games.  I think Sims Medieval will be great fun, though, and I'm looking forward to it.  So is my husband!  We'll be doing a Guide for it, too, so that will be great for everyone (hopefully).

The previews so far have mentioned it will be very quest-oriented.  However, not quests like World Adventures quests.  These quests will have different possibilities depending on what kinds of Sims you're using to solve them.

A small update today:  the game has a release date of March 22, and they've announced a limited edition is available (for the same price, $49.99).  I'm not sure if they're implying that price is just for pre-orders of the Ltd ed. or not.
