Unknown Source of Income

I have a question about incoming money.  I was playing with my singer sim (5* celeb), and while at home performing some mundane task I saw the incoming money indicator showing an increase of $19xxx simoleons.  I checked the info tabs, but there was no indication of why he got so much cash.  Has anyone seen this before? Any idea why?

I think it's a game glitch. I've had quite a few of my sims (I can't remember whether they were celebrities or not) receive a large sum of money out of the blue. I'd say it is a glitch bug that people want and appreciate.

I think it could be a glitch that comes with an EP, but here are some of the possible reasons I could think of:

1. One of your sim write books. Those $$ are from the weekly Royalty Checks. But I think you'd know about that by now so maybe not xD
2. Your sim have the 'Lucky' trait. From what I heard they get quite a lot of unexpected gifts and simoleons. Not sure though as I've never really played a sim with the trait.
3. Maybe it's a celeb perk. Celebs get gifted all the time. I've never been giften simoleons as a celeb, but then again I've never played as a celebrity for long and it could be one of those rare occurences.
4. Assuming you have Seasons, it's a holiday bonus.

What I've read is that when someone in town dies, the game doesn't know what to do with the cost of their car, so it gives the money to you. Usually I get $950, but once I got the cost of a Bwan Speedster -- $105,000.

The best guess is the inherited car value.  That's the price on the Evasion.  Guess my sim was in someone's will.
