Ghosts
« on: June 04, 2013, 05:24:24 PM »
Hi, just a question or five about ghosts. I've always stayed away from them, and so don't know a thing about them.

Do ghosts that are ghosts at the start of a game stay the same age, or do they get 'older'?

Will they eventually change their colours to that of 'death by old age' or do they stay the same colour?

Does Grim come for a ghost from your controlled family when they 'die'?

Do ghosts who die from a particular cause (eg death by drowning) shy away from the cause of death (in the case of death by drowning, swimming pools/rivers/oceans)?

If a controllable ghost 'dies' can they be brought back?

They stay the same unless they join the active family, when they start ageing like normal Sims.

If they're given ambrosia, they become the same as a normal Sim.  If not, they'll keep their original appearance (and their original tombstone, regardless of how many happiness points they've accrued).  They just go back to their graves at the end of their lifespan, like an NPC ghost going back at sunrise.  No Grim, no mourning by the rest of the household.

I don't think so (and they seem to be unkillable - certainly drowning ghosts can repair broken electrical appliances safely, even though they're dripping water everywhere).

If a controllable ghost 'dies' can they be brought back?

That seems to have changed on a recent patch.  They could until about six months ago.  Now, they don't seem to be capable of being revived unless they've been made fully human and died again.
