Is the Relativity mod ok for a mac?
« on: June 04, 2013, 12:54:10 PM »
Hi all,

I tried to install the relativity mod to control time on my mac but I can't seem to open the file to install it.  I have Sims3 and the Generations pack which works very well.  Are the mods only for windows?

Thanks for your help. :)

I'm pretty sure that mods work with Macs. Are you having trouble extracting the file from the .zip archive, or is it another problem?

You might want to double check at the Nrass site and make sure.  I think there is a question and answer section about that and I am sure if you ask someone over there, they would probably be able to help.  I know they do work with Mac, but not sure if there is a different version than there is with PC.

Thank you Trip and Saltypaws.

I am going to check the nraas  site further.  I did already download the file but I'm getting a message that the file can't be opened meaning I can't extract it for some reason.   I will read up on it to find out but I think I read something that a mac needs something to extract files so I will try that and post back here.

Thanks for responding. :)

Hi,

I managed to get the Relativity mod working, I had to download something for my mac to unzip files.  Now when I went to play my game I got a message saying the time was going at 1X the normal speed.   I want the time to go slower, thats why I downloaded this mod.  I'd  like the time to go at the same speed as our regular time in minutes.  Where in the settings do I go to set the speed of the clock?

Thanks again for your help :)
