Uncontrollable vampire ghost on home lot won't eat ambrosia

I've been researching this problem for a while and think I might have a unique situation. o_O;

I'm trying to bring my ghost back from the dead. I have already made the ambrosia. There is only one tombstone on my family's lot. She was a vampire in life and is now a ghost.

I have tried putting the ambrosia on a counter or table, putting it at her feet, and leaving it in leftovers. I've done what someone on yahoo answers said and removed anything else she tries to touch - tv, beds, coffeemaker, etc. She just hovers there. When she DOES go to the fridge, she doesn't take out leftovers, but PLASMA JUICE.

I have no idea how to make her eat this stuff. Maybe she's not eating it because of being a vampire? She would never have auto-eaten food in life, so why would she now?

Any suggestions? :/

It is probably because she's a vampire. Is there room in the house to bring her ghost back with Oh My Ghost or the Philosopher's Stone? Then you can control her and force her to eat ambrosia.

I heard on the internet that if you are eating something at the same table it is more likely to join and eat.

You may also become friends with it, eventually move it into the household. Then You will be able to control it and make it eat the ambrosia.

You have a chance of getting the OH My Ghost Opportunity as long as you previously had the ghost in you household when it died and have the remains.

Another way is to resurrect it using a skill (I believe alchemy, but I am not sure)

The example that I have seen that done is in Tilia's Immortal Dynasty, although it was on a human, I don't think that makes a difference.

Those are all the ways I know, although their might be more.

She was married to another sim in the household. I tried asking her to move in but the option isn't available. There is room... ish? I have the awesomemod cheat for overstuffed households. It lets me move in sims from the edit town screen all the time.

BUT she wasn't eating the ambrosia back when there was pleeeenty of room so I don't think that's the problem. But it might explain why the option isn't available for moving in and stuff. UGH. x_x; maybe I should move some people out for a little while.

The oh my ghost opportunity wasn't popping up at all. I'm not ENTIRELY sure how long it's been since she's died... a week? I still have the option for "funeral" when I plan a party.

They have to be really good friends to be moved in. Like as a ghost. I don't think it matters how close they were before death. Someone correct me if I am wrong.

^_^; Actually now that I think about it, I don't think you can just move a ghost into your house. I think they have to be a PLAYABLE ghost for that to happen. So unless I get the oh my ghost opportunity (is there a way to like FORCE that to happen? haha) I don't think it'll work no matter how good of friends they are (they're at 100% now).

I don't what else to tell you. Search at the top of the forum for ways to bring back a ghost, or something.

Welcome to the forum.   Have you tried to throw a party and use the interaction to "Serve Sim " food?
