You can find the Producer Walkthrough here

What can I say, some of the stuff in the video actually has me excited.  Three-Eyed Fish?  Indoor Gardens?  Great :)

I'm confused, the future world is called Oasis Landing but when it was revealed it was Arcadia Landing, which is it?

I'd go with Oasis Landing. It's been a few weeks; they probably changed the name while tweaking the EP.

I am excited. If not for the whole technological future deal, I'm excited because at the end, I distinctly saw "Play with Paradox". Now that has me interested. I googled about it and came about a thread on the official forums discussing what would happen if your Sim met himself in the future, and how the future would change because you looked at it, and a few Doctor Who references.

Is the 3-eyed fish a reference to the fish on the Simpsons?

Pretty good odds it is.  After all, the character of 'Emmit' is a reference to Doc Brown in Back to the Future.

Definitely prefer the name Oasis Landing!  I have such a hard time doing mean things to my sims that I might never even see the dystopian option.

Once I get this, I debate on if I want to send my sims to the future right away, or wait a generation or two for it, for better story telling.  Oh course, I could just play those first couple generations before I install the expansion too.  It will be fun though to bring future tech back into the present and wow the sims of our homeworlds.  Hovercars would look so cool in Bridgeport.

As mentioned way back, getting the Limited Edition of Into the Future nets you the Quantum Power Pack:

The following blurb comes from the announcement at the Sims 3 store (the entry for August 31, 2013) here

Quote
When you pre-order The Sims 3 Into the Future Expansion Pack, which includes the exclusive Quantum Power Pack featuring a hibernation chamber and a multi-function power suit!

Places your Sims in the Quantum Power Chamber and put them in a deep-freeze! Have your Sims step into this future-tech device to stop the ravages of time and put their needs on hold indefinitely. Also perfect for when you would like to place a Sim on time-out.

Also included in the Limited Edition is the Quantum Power Suit. Dress your Sims in this futuristic power suit and they can teleport themselves and others around the world in the blink of an eye! Plus when wearing the suite, Sims can scan the world to easily locate collectibles. Too busy exploring Oasis Landing and you don’t want to tend to all your Sims’ needs? No problem! The Quantum Power Suit can bio-stabilize your Sims instantly!

Oh my gosh! The suit is like make needs static with a built in collection helper! No more need for cheating (unless it gets banned of course) :D and the Power Chamber is PERFECT for storing away immortals... I wonder if you can put other sims in there to save spouses...

I don't think it's like needs static, I think it just stabilizes them at that point in time, so you don't have to rush to find a toilet or shower but they will still go down after being stabiized, like using 'make all happy' without making the needs static after.

The Power Chamber will be so revolutionary, it would prevent your dear immortals from building any skills you do not wish of them! And it would keep them out of your hair for a while. I hardly think the suit will be allowed, it's like the baby swing, except even more cheaty and for adults, and you can do other stuff at the same. time. Is EA even listening to the constant complaint of how easy the game is? ;D

We have to wait a few weeks. I'm excited for this one, but kind of sad that it is the end of sims3. Welcome to the forum!
