Zachlot, I think Pallyndrome may have been talking about the restaurant venue that was recently put out by EA, with the professional stove, fridge, sink and so forth, rather than the futuristic items from the store that were released previously, some as premium content.
She said the EP reminded her of previous store items. Then she said that she was hoping for more business type items like the new bistro.

They said that you can buy homes there, so I am guessing that you can live there.

You can buy homes in WA too. That's how I'm envisioning it'd work, though if it does, I can guarantee that a resourceful Modder will find a way to fix that (*cough* twallan *cough*).

Hopefully we can move and live there permanently.

Honestly I think it will be like WA. The advertisement on the official site says "more adventures and destinations", so I guess you can read into that however you want. I'm semi-interested in this expansion, and I think I'll enjoy it better than IP. It seems slightly more practical.

I was talking about the past premium content on the store that seemed futuristic. Also I was hoping for more business play - the new bistro that just came out disappointed me. Hope that clarifies things...

I have a feeling it will be like WA. They called the spot where the Sim came out of the portal the base camp (or something to that effect) just like you have a base camp in the holiday destinations.

Yeah, I'm applied to the official Sims 3 site so they sent me an e-mail with a trailer.

Come on, EA, you just released Island Paradise! I know you love money like your wife but GEEZ, SLOW DOWN!!!  >:(
I play The Sims 4 for fun, so I don't care if I never end up being interviewed for the Dynasty Hall of Fame; people who play for keeps burn out too easily and don't enjoy playing the games, so I am going to not sweat the details.

It says in the guide you can help support this forum by ordering/preordering from Origin.  How and where?  There is no link for the new stuff for pre-order but if you watch the trailers there is a spot to click to order.  I always buy through Origin but I want it to help our forum.
What?  Grannies can't play games?

Was finally able to watch the broadcast. Had to switch the language/country in order to view it.

Even just from the announce trailer and what they said about them in the broadcast, all I can say is: I want a plumbot!!!

EA has been doing this for the last few expansions.  They just haven't been waiting very long between releases.  However, Into the Future is the last expansion for Sims 3, so it's going to slow down to a stop.

Also, I removed the Youtube link because, although there is a very brief Jetson's theme song, the entire video is about a completely different game.  That makes it off topic here.
