Singing career song

Everyone who has played as a singer has probably heard the song Freeing Myself. I know it may be a song created entirely by EA but something about the chorus makes me think it is based on a real world song, I just can't remember which one. Does anyone know what song it is based on? Or what song sounds like it? If it helps, the part that ticks me is in the chorus where the simlish can be roughly sang as "freeing myself", then "hey yi ye ei..."

I don't know about this specific song, but many (if not all) of the songs in Sims 3 are taken from real world songs.  I'm referring to the radio songs and instrument compositions.  It could easily be true of the songs from the Singer career.
