For those that do not know much about either Dynasty, I have outlined the details of each one below:

Immortal Dynasty:
The aim of this challenge is for there to be 8 Generations of a family with each Generation having an immortal heir. Immortality is achieved by completing various requirements such as a "supermax" which is to max a unique skill and all of its challenges. In the dynasty all requirements are unique, no heirs can share a requirement, e.g. No two heirs could have maxed Painting. For this Contest you need to know that the Museum only needs to contain room for 3 Portraits for the Founder and then 6 for each of the 7 Heirs. There must be a portrait of every lifestage of every heir. There are optional artwork pieces of sculptures and photographs - you do not need to accommodate these if you do not wish to do so.

Ambrosia is the only way that the Founder and Heirs can stay Immortal. Some players like to include a special room with themes for their heirs to consume the mystical dish. Although others are happy with just eating in the kitchen whilst the spouses are eating their morning pancakes. For the purpose of this Contest you may wish to include a special, grand room where Ambrosia is to be eaten. Some people even like to put the table and chairs down in the museums, feel free to do so. The ambrosia dining room is optional however if you do wish to have one then you simply have to build a separate place to the family dining area.

Life States Dynasty:

The Life States Dynasty is the latest Dynasty Challenge from the team. Like the Immortal Dynasty it is multi-generational however only 7 Generations this time. Each generation must be of a different lifestate: e.g.Starvation Ghost, Werewolf, Vampire or Fairy. Unlike the Immortal Dynasty this challenge does not require a museum of family wealth but rather a collection of items. Each heir needs to provide 7 Items of a given type. There are only a set list of accepted items which can be seen here. This is the family mausoleum, you will need to create a space where each heir can display their 7 Items as well as their two career rewards, another requirement.

Dynasty Themes?
What is meant by a Dynasty Theme? Put simply it's a story, a themed family living in a themed house. Metropolis Man had the Man Dynasty, his theme was being manly. Ricalynn had a theme of Insane Evil Grim Reapers. Hazelnut had a house full of Ghosts with a spooky mansion to match! Rhoxi had an Asian themed Dynasty with a Dojo house theme! There are plenty of themes out there to choose from: Insane, Royal, Lunar, Sci-Fi, Medieval, Fantasy etc.

For those that have never had a Dynasty, bear in mind that towards the end of a Dynasty loading times often go in excess of an 30minutes - for some even 2 Hours I think for Juxtaposition! So it's quality not quantity, don't feel that you need to spend all of your budget!

If there are any more questions about what you may need to include or about the Dynasties please do ask!

The separate dining room for the ambrosia is not on the requirements, the only thing close is in the optional list. In which case, I need clarification on whether it is optional or a entry breaking requirement.

Many thanks
KJ
Everything happens for a reason, sometimes we have to wait a long time for the reason to become clear.

It is optional. I had a PM asking if I would post information about both Dynasties and also what was mean't by the Ambrosia Room. You do not have to include it if you do not want to. I'll modify the wording of that sentence. :)

Dynasty Delight
Lot Size: 64x64
Lot Value: $155,561
Content Used: Base Game, Seasons, Pets, World Adventures, Ambitions, High-End Loft Stuff, Generations, Late Night, Supernatural, University Life, Outdoor Living Stuff, Showtime
Number of Bed Spaces: 8
Description: For all the Immortal Dynasty Simmers out there, come look at this 'Dynasty Delight'. The house comes with bedrooms to fit all 8 immortals, 2 full and 2 half bathrooms,  a garden, a fishing pond,  a museum ready to be filled with all sorts of marvelous art and of course a lot of skilling objects!

Time for a house tour!

As you can see, the fishing pond is situated to the right of the house.

The garden and first skilling area (painting/sculpting) can be found to the left.

At the back of the property, you can see the museum to be.

When you enter the house, you will find the second skilling area to the right. This room includes a computer for the aspiring writers, a couple of exercise machines and a bookshelf. The TV is for the relaxing moments.

To your left you enter the third skilling area. On one side, you can practice making potions on the Alchemy Station or the Chemistry Lab Station. On the other side you can dabble with some metal or try your hand at science. When you're in need for some entertainment while working, you can ask a family member to play some fine tunes on the guitar.

Next to the staircase, there are 2 bathrooms, for your not-to-mention-because-it's-embarrassing-activities. The kitchen is to the right.

To your left there's a dining room designed specifically with the immortal and immortal-to be in mind. As you can see, behind the gate there is enough room for some Food Replicators.

Up the stairs we go, where we find 8 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
The fourth and final skilling area, can be found at the balcony. The soon-to-be-Chess Legend can eat his/her heart out at the chess table and telescope.

So come and enjoy the wonders of an Immortal Dynasty right here, in the Dynasty Delight!

I'm on fire, I'm a fighter. I'll forever be the last one standing.

Important: A Clarification and slight change to the Bed Spaces Requirement. For the purposes of this Contest the 8 or 7 Spaces must be separate beds. This is because there will be no bed sharing between the heirs. Each of the 8 (Immortal) or 7 (Life States) Heirs will need a separate bed each - single or double. Apologies to anyone about to post their entry that has not done this or if this cause inconvenience to the planning. MissWulfy has the 8 separate beds so she is fine. :)

Also could everyone make sure to clearly state which Dynasty they chose to do, somewhere in their post. :)

Edit: Ricalynn has brought something to my attention that if we are to remain true to the Dynasty Challenge idea then that would mean Buydebug is off-limits. Therefore for this Contest buydebug is banned.

@MissWulfy - If you used Buydebug you have a free pass to make the alterations to remove the buydebug items, I don't think you had used it though.

samoht04:

My question is since some of the built in blueprints have the buydebug lights that are invisible in-game, and you can just copy them from the blue prints to use in houses, are they okay?

Rustic Hacienda Dynasty House

Lot Size:  64 x 64
Price Furnished: 158,455
Price Unfurnished:  108,402

Expansion Packs Used: AMB, LN, GEN, WA, SHO, PETS, SN, SEA, UL
Stuff Packs Used: OLS, TLS, MSS

This rustic home has room for all eight members of an Immortal Dynasty.  The exterior of the house is designed in a Hacienda style, and the interior furnishings are a simple ranch-style decor, but with a touch of elegance befitting an Immortal Dynasty. I figured that look would work well for a house with minimum deco, which would hopefully cut down on load times.

A two-room main floor museum makes sure that every generation's prized portraits have a place of honor.  There are also platform displays for statues, and shelves and storage for photos or other memorabilia.

The courtyard is a great place to paint, and other skilling equipment is scattered throughout the house.  For skilling there is an art room with easel and sculpture station; a science loft with an inventor's bench; chemistry station and gem cutter; an alcove with an alchemy station and potion storage; a professional bar for mixology practice tucked into the butler's pantry; a family room with guitar, TV and bookshelf; and a backyard with a telescope and fishing pond  There is a large garden ready to plant, and of course there are mirrors and a big kitchen for charisma and cooking practice,  In addition, I deliberately chose lower-end bathroom fixtures and fireplace so there would be plenty of possible upgrades for handy Sims to work on.

The upper level has eight bedrooms and a small nursery with a play table and high chair. The bedrooms are very rudimentary in furnishings, to help cut down on load times.  To give them a bit of pizazz without adding lots of deco objects, I used floor tiles and wall styles to add color and to look like rugs.  This level also has two full baths to supplement the powder room downstairs.

The exception to the rest of the house's simplicity is the Ambrosia Room, an octagonal dining area with opulent drapes and golden walls and floors, where the Immortal members of the family can  eat their Ambrosia while overlooking the interior courtyard or the back patio.

The Bridge / Dynasty Underground

Lot Size: 64 x 64
Furnished Price: §138,430
Unfurnished Price: §92,480
Content Used: All Expansions and Stuff Packs up to University Life
Lot Description:

The first thing most people ask us is why this lot has two names.   What we tell most people is that it has several facets that make it irresistible to different folks.  The real reason is that we still can't agree on a name.    Welcome to The Bridge!  Using the successful Licious family dwelling as inspiration, our builder made the perfect dynasty home for those that want to be immortal or for those that want a whole bunch of random mutants living in their house.  This type of dynasty house is perfect for a Troll or a Grim or a Hobbit or a Princess or basically anyone who doesn't mind living under a bridge.

The Bridge comes equipped with eight empty rooms to be used for mausoleum items, museum pieces or random furniture collections.   It has public bathrooms that make it so no one in your dynasty will ever have to become embarrassed by walking in on Grandma in the shower.   The main living area is set up to handle the needs for all household members even if all you really want them to do is sit in front of the tv and play video games.  Other amenities include a well stocked kitchen, a telescope with a view, a hidden garden valley, comfortable insulated bedding, a personal pond and a nursery.

But that's not all!  Available for the first time, Landlicious Real Estate offers dynasty watchers a new accommodation that is sure to make juggling a full house over 9000 times easier.   We call it The Troll Hole Retirement Pod!  Each small space off the main living space is equipped with everything that an immortal or useless life state could possibly need while you work on the next generation.   There are TVs that don't give any skill points, rocking chairs, mini-fridges, comfortable seating, video game systems, showers and locking doors!   That's right.  Once you don't need them, why not put them somewhere where they'll be happy and out of your hair.  Please note:  Steel Bladder is a must for any household member that is placed in a Retirement Pod.

Doesn't this place just sound perfect?! Of course it does, why not come down to our office to get yourself one today.
