can I assign a sim to the consignment store

Hi,  I had a sim who was just a townie who was the consignment store clerk.  I have built her up somewhat and now I want her back into the store.  However, the game is constantly picking between 3 of my playable characters and it's annoying me.  Can I assign the girl back into the store.

As far as I know, the game will always just choose some random unemployed Sim that lives in town.   There is no way for you to assign that job to someone if you are playing them and it's not guaranteed it will ever be them again.

Hi Ricalynn,  I didn't get her back into the store, but I found a round about way of fixing it.  The game was focusing on 3 of my playables (no others), so I gave them all a job, then the game generated a clerk instead of finding some other unemployed sim, of which their are plenty, and then I had my sims quit their jobs again.  I would have liked to see the original girl in the store.  She's a character I've come to like there.  It least my sims are free for my use.  I'll take it.  I'll probably put the original girl into play.
