Yay, Xavier got Blair's eye shape! I think! I love the alien-abductees forum.
I'm not pedantic! I just believe in precision of language.

Yes, I think he did.  Xena appears to have Cycl0n3's eye shape, although both have dark eyes like Blair.

I love the alien-abductees forum.
Thank you.

Oh, and you might be interested to know that Xavier's imaginary friend is called Storm :).

Teenage Troubles

Trottings and Jottings

Friday 4

Today was my birthday.  Michael took some photos and I begged them off him.

Is it just me or does he seem entirely too interested in River’s bottom?  And maybe Dad’s?  Ew!

He gave me this book as a birthday present.  He’s so thoughtful.  (And hot!)  I’d been dropping vague hints about wanting a book for keeping track of Xanthippe’s training and my progress as a rider (and maybe a stud book later, if things go on the way I hope) but I never expected anything so beautiful.  It almost seems a shame to spoil the pages by writing on them.  Seem to have got over that, though.  Ha ha!

I’ve decided this is going to be part horsey stuff, part scrapbook and part diary.  Not like those stupid little diaries obscure friends and relations get you for Christmas, where there’s not room to write anything much but every day has the same amount of space, even ones where nothing happened.  Not like the ‘Top Secret’ diaries we had to keep in Miss Smith’s class, either.  Those ones where you wrote about ‘What I did at the weekend’ (and more personal stuff, if you were really stupid) and it was all totally secret, apart from Miss Smith marking it and correcting your spelling.  I bet she left them out on Parents’ Evening, too.  No, this will be my diary and I’ll write as much or as little as I feel like writing and no-one else is going to read it.  Uncle Stiles told me he keeps a diary on the computer.  That’s silly, if you ask me.  I wouldn’t trust Dad not to hack into it.  A book in my underwear drawer should be safe, though.  Dad wouldn’t look there.  Mum might find it but she’d never dream of reading someone else’s private stuff.

I’m calling it ‘Trottings and Jottings’.  Good, innit?

That’s the great thing about a really private diary.  I can say things like ‘innit’ without Mum correcting me all the time and telling me to use proper Simlish.

Saturday 4

Uncle Stiles had a birthday, too.  He’s really old now.  If I was getting that old, I wouldn’t be so happy about it.

Sunday 5

Another birthday!  Today my darling Xanthippe grew up into a big horse.

Now we can really start on the training.  Or at least, we can start once I’ve learned to drive.  I told Mum and Dad I didn’t need a driving licence.  Why bother when you can ride everywhere?  They insisted, though.  Poo.  Mum’s teaching me and it’s a lot harder than it looks.  At this rate, I’ll be an adult before I get out of second gear.

Michael the Hottie told me he’s moving out.  I’m devastated.  I may possibly have said something really stupid about being able to stay here if he married me.  I’m not a kid any more, after all.  Hasn’t he noticed?  He just came out with that tired old line of his about being a lifelong Bachelor.  Ha ha! (Not.)  Personally, I think there’s Another Woman.

He gave me a leaving present, though.  Well, it’s for Xanthippe really.  He says it’ll make her into a yellow horse in nature as well as name (or as near as horses get to yellow in the real world).  All I have to do is feed her this tablet and she’ll look just like the Xanthippes I’ve been sketching in my school jotter.

How did he know about that, anyway?

He says ‘the aliens’ gave him the tablet.  Mad, I tell you.  Still hot, though.  I haven’t decided whether to give her the treatment.  What if it’s poisonous?  Maybe I should ask Dad to analyse it.

*   *   *   *   *

“Ayesha, what's going on?  Tam said you were ‘busy with the twins’ when you couldn’t come to the meeting yesterday, then Xena came home from school today going on about meeting Deniz in her maths class.  I thought he must be really precocious or something but she says he’s a teenager like her.  What happened?!
“Well, you know it was the twins’ birthday on Thursday?  I thought about having a party but it’s hard when you’re on your own.  In the end, I just bought them both cakes and we had a little party all by ourselves.  They liked it.  In fact, they liked it so much that they decided they wanted another go.  I’d given them their dinner money for school, so yesterday they went  to the supermarket to buy themselves two more cakes so they could have the fun all over again.  Then, of course, they found out how much cakes cost.  They could only afford one so Aoife distracted the girl on the bakery counter while Deniz stole another.”
“Oh no!”
“Oh yes!  I’m so ashamed.  I mean, I know I used to be a criminal but I’ve been going straight for ages.  I didn’t expect to see my kids stealing stuff.  They got caught… but not before they’d blown out the candles.  They didn’t realise what would happen, of course.  They just thought they’d get the fun of blowing out candles again.  So there they were, my baby twins, suddenly great big teenagers.  Delinquent teenagers.”
“So what now?  Are they in big trouble?  I didn't hear anything at work.”
“It was touch and go for a while.  Justine Keaton wanted to prosecute; make an example of them.  I think she’s behind on her targets.  Fortunately, Mr Singh, the manager, saw the funny side.  He thinks it’s punishment enough that they’ve got to go to high school with only a day’s primary schooling as preparation.  And we’ve agreed that they’ll both work at the supermarket after school, without wages, until they’ve paid for the cake they stole.”

Trottings and Jottings

Tuesday 5

I was looking in the Personals of the Sunset Valley Echo before school.  I mean, it’s dire, but the lonely hearts can be funny.  Then I saw the births.  I knew Mike had Another Woman.

Quote
ALTO  Nick and Vita are delighted to announce the arrival of their grandson and heir, Richard.  Thanks to the staff on Jennie Clavell ward.
ALTO-BACHELOR   To Mike and Holly, a son, Richard.  Congratulations!  Love from Simis, Jocasta and Bella.

Huh!  Holly Alto?  OK, she’s rich and grown-up and stuff but really?  How could anyone prefer her to me?

Well, I’ll show you, Michael Bachelor!  I persuaded Dad that we ought to have a party for Xavier’s birthday and since he’s too young to have any friends of his own, we could invite their friends instead.  Especially the younger ones.  He fell for it.  I think Dad quite likes parties.

Uncle Stiles’ wife, Ayesha, came as well.  I don’t think I’ve met her before.  Well, not since I’ve been old enough to remember, anyway.  Uncle S. looked so happy.

Mostly, though, I was eyeing up the young men.  Who’d be good for driving Michael mad with jealousy?  Well, madder than he already is.  (Aliens!  Honestly!)

This one’s called Mirage.  Weird name.  He’s not bad-looking, though, and he’s keen on martial arts.  I like a man who works out.  I wonder what Mr Bunch was telling him?  I’m sure I heard him say ‘McGraw’.

Mirage seems to be interested in that Sandi French, though.

Sam Sekemoto’s not bad, either, if you go for baldies.

In the end, I went with the safe option: my old friend Tyrone.  I asked him to Prom.  I’m not sure I fancy him but he’s fun to be with.  And I can always talk it up later – and make sure MB hears all about it.

I was fed up of being cooped up inside, so Xanthippe and I went for a ride up Summer Hill after the party.  Oops!  Forgot about the stupid curfew.  One of Mum’s colleagues turned up to take me home in disgrace.  Not fair!

Even more embarrassingly, I haven’t really got the hang of dismounting yet and got stuck on the way down.  I bet Mum will hear all about that, too.  How humiliating.

I thought Mum and Dad might stop me from going to Prom but I sucked up enough that they let me off.  Really looking forward to tomorrow.

P.S.  You can see Xanthippe’s new coat in those pics, although it’s a bit dark. I must get a better photo.   Dad analysed the tablet and said it was safe, as far as he could tell, although ‘the aliens’ technology is way ahead of ours’.  Dad, too?  What’s with this alien stuff?  Anyway, I gave Xanth the tablet and it worked.  She’s so pretty now.

*   *   *   *   *

Wednesday 5

Auntie Emma got married yesterday.  I thought the Echo would have some sort of announcement but there was a proper write-up.  I didn’t realise Auntie Em was famous.

Quote
HATCH MATCHED!

In a notable departure from tradition, celebrity chef Emma Hatch has married one of her underlings, sous-chef Dave Ramsey.  This is not how top chefs are supposed to behave.  Just ask her new husband’s near-namesake.  Tantrums, throwing kitchen utensils and demanding food five minutes ago are more the expected form.  Still, the woman almost single-handedly responsible for transforming the local diner from greasy spoon into the Simelin-starred Serving Hatch has clearly always been open to new ideas.

Let’s hope this is another recipe for success.

I hope they’ll be happy together.  I mean, he’s really old but I love Auntie Emma.  She said she’d have married a long time ago but she was worried about the rest of us.  It’s only now that ‘the aliens’ have given us a food-copying thingy that she feels happy to move out.  Honestly, is every adult in this place obsessed with ‘aliens’?  Folie à rather-a-lot if you ask me.

She gave me some more photos of the wedding.

She may be a bit mad but it’s sweet.  Congratulations and good luck, Auntie Emma and Dave!

Oops, time to get ready for Prom.  I don’t want to keep Tyrone waiting.

*   *   *   *   *

Wow!  Just wow!

I got voted Prom Queen.  Totally wasn’t expecting that.  And then Tyrone said, “Congratulations, Queen Kiss-ena” and kissed me!  We’re going steady now.  Take that, Michael Bachelor!

The McGraw twins really were only children for a couple of days, although probably not for the reason I gave.  Story (non)-progression is fighting back.  All of the babies born outside the active household have been boys, apart from Yvette Ursine (who doesn’t really count) and Aoife.  This might make the next generation of townies a bit hard to arrange.  Maybe I should start locking up pregnant women with a load of watermelons.  To make it worse, Aoife has disappeared.  Maybe she’s just been sent to boarding school or something – Bella Bachelor also disappeared for a while but is now back – but I have a nasty feeling she might be another one like Lee and Kate Goole or Kieran CrumpleSteel, who’s there in the family tree but otherwise absent.  She certainly can’t be invited to parties and doesn’t show up as an option if Ayesha’s household is invited over.  I’m rather sad about this.  Aoife was showing signs of being gorgeous – a prettier version of Ayesha – but with an amusingly Stiles-like personality.

For a while, I thought Richard Alto had also done a disappearing act.  Holly and Michael actually appear to be living together (well done, story progression) but there was no sign of Richard.  It wasn’t until I moved Miraj Alvi in in pursuit of townie pairings that I found him.  The three Alvis, Vita, Richard and two pets were all living together in the Alvis’ little house.  That must have been a squash.  Richard has also aged faster than he should have done and was at high school ten days after his birth.

Oddly enough, Emma’s choice of spouse was dictated by what remains of story progression.  I had the camera on Stiles in the garden one evening and a familiar figure appeared next door.  I moused over and got ‘Connor is going home’.  Intrigued, I sent someone over to investigate and found that Tori Kimura and Connor Frio were an item.  Dave was still free, so Emma married him.

Well I missed quite a bit! I didn't think your rules chapter was boring at all. Emma finally telling everyone about the aliens was brilliant, and it tickles me that the aliens are where the rules come from. No less that we the readers are the aliens! Brilliant. Sorry to hear about your SP townie-child woes. I know the feeling. It's a lot of work, but keeping good relationships with the out-of-housers tends to keep them from disappearing in my experience. They do move around a lot now as well. It's odd, but I'd rather they move around than move out of town.

Glad you don't mind being an alien ;).

No-one's had a chance to make friends with Aoife McGraw.   She went straight from being a small person in a house that couldn't be interacted with to disappearing - although the disapearing-from-everything-except-the-family-tree thing seems to be different from families leaving town, anyway.  In my Life States Dynasty, Emily was best friends with both of her sisters and they also had high relationships with other people in the family but it didn't keep them playable.

At least I haven't had any 'accidental' deaths from story progression yet.  My favourite one of those was with a daycare Sim who kept himself in business by seducing the ladies of Sunset Valley.  When the town got too full, the game decided to kill Emma, of all people, from starvation :o.

Wow, you are going all-out with the baby-making scheme in Sunset Valley! I can't wait to see who Miraj's intended will be.
Not quite all-out, because I'm trying to stay below the population level where the game randomly kills Sims.  I'm also juggling quite a few other things:  in case you hadn't gathered, I'm trying to supermax riding with Xena and it's not a skill I've played much.  Blair has just aged up to elder in-game and is still some way off her LTW.  And then there's the collection...

Miraj isn't quite paired up yet (the lady in question decided to stalk off home for no obvious reason at the end of their last date, saying she'd had a terrible time.  I still have no idea why: it seemed to be going so well.)

I know what you mean about the deaths. Has anyone met her at all? A Legendary Host would be able to invite her to a party and chuck a Friendship Elixir. I keep having disappearances and deaths in the Callahans' file. I had an infant die of electrocution at a lightning rod enthusiasts' meeting. Because that makes sense.

Legendary Host doesn't make any difference with this bug: the missing Sims don't appear on the list of people who can be invited to parties.  It's as though they don't exist (apart from still being on the family tree).  I'll try a global reset next time I play the file and see whether that works but I'm not hopeful.

Edit: It didn't work.  I'm very much afraid that Aoife is a lost cause.

Growing Up and Growing Old

Trottings and Jottings

Friday 5

Xanthippe is now officially a Long Distance Racer.  It must be all that galloping around she did as a foal.  We entered a beginners’ race at the Equestrian Centre and won.  Yay!  Spurred on (ha ha!) by our success we entered the next event, an advanced race, and got nowhere.  Still, you have to try.  Maybe I’ll get the hang of driving this weekend and then we can do some proper training.

Also, my little brother’s a weirdo.  He keeps playing with this funny-looking doll some friend-or-relation gave him.

Now he says it’s come to life and it’s his friend.  An invisible one.  Honestly, what are kids coming to?  It was never like this in my day (says Granny Xena :) ).

I think he just got embarrassed and hid the thing.  And not before time.

*   *   *   *   *

Monday, Week 6

Dear Edie,

Sorry, old friend.  I’ve been neglecting you recently.  Cyco keeps hogging the computer.  He’s been trying to analyse plants and isn’t getting very far.

Still, even if we’re no wiser about why they’re special, I’m growing some fine crops.  Or we’re growing them, I should say.  I have an assistant now.  Young Xavier has always loved being outdoors, playing in the sprinklers and talking to me about gardening.  Now he’s old enough to help and seems to have a real knack.  I’ve even heard him talking to the plants.

The weather’s growing colder again, so we’ve built a greenhouse – which didn’t stop me from spending too long outside today.  Probably should have put some warmer clothes on, too.  I worry that I’m going a bit senile.  Gardening in your underwear isn’t really normal, is it?  And staying out for long enough to freeze solid is definitely a bad sign.

It's even worse when attractive young women pass by and see you like that.  It appears that Sandi French always carries her hairdryer around with her and she very kindly thawed me out.  Terribly embarrassing, though.

*   *   *   *   *

Wednesday, Week 6

Dear Edie,

That horse of Xena’s managed to get inside the house today – and had a little accident on the hall floor.  Well, rather a big accident.  She’s not a small horse.

At least these days I’m not the only person cleaning up after a bunch of scruffs.  River usually tidies up when she comes over to visit and you can always rely on Ethan and Miraj to mop up puddles.  Sometimes there are so many of us trying to clean up that we get in each other’s way.

*   *   *   *   *

Trottings and Jottings

Friday 6

Today I had my first fall.  They always say you’re not a real rider until you’ve fallen off a horse.

To be honest, Xanth bucked me off.  I can’t blame her really.  The poor dear was tired and I’d made her try showjumping for the first time.  She’s much happier racing.  We’re starting to win advanced races pretty regularly and I felt like a change.  She jumps well enough at the training grounds but being in an arena in front of an audience is a different matter and she panicked.

When I picked myself up, I was seeing stars.  I thought I must have hit my head.  Why hadn’t I waited until after I’d dismounted to take my riding hat off?  Should I call in at the hospital on my way home and get myself checked out?  Then I realised:  they were sparkles, not stars.

Now I can ride full-time (with a hat!)  At least, until I find a job.

Oldies’R’Us

Somehow you always think getting old is something that happens to other people.  Then you have a birthday and the aches and pains set in for real.  Sometimes life sucks.  Still, better than the alternative, I suppose.

Gates seems delighted to have another old fogey around the place.  Maybe we can sit and creak our joints at each other.

It’s kind of comforting to see life carrying on regardless.  We had another proposal in the house today.  It’s been a long time since the last one.

*   *   *   *   *

Blair and Cycl0n3,

FYI, although I don’t suppose much of it is news to you.

SUNSET VALLEY POPULATION REPORT
Week 6

Births
In the two weeks since the previous report, three more children have been born in the town:
  • James, to Emma and Dave Ramsey
  • Alan, to Tori Kimura and Connor Frio
  • Elizabeth, to River McIrish and Ethan Bunch
All three appear to be developing normally.

Deaths and Disappearances
Sadly, a number of the original adult inhabitants have now succumbed to old age.  A recent check of the records at the mausoleum confirmed the deaths of Yumi Sekemoto, Fiona McIrish, Molly French, Jack and Judy Bunch, Iliana Langerak, Dorothy de Mayo, Jared Frio, Claire Ursine, Justine Keaton and Dave Ramsey.  Buster Clavell is known to have died some time ago but the cemetery has no record of his passing.

The Bachelors are reported to have left town.  Other ‘real Sims’, notably Bessie Clavell, the Harts, the Goths and the senior Landgraabs, are now presumed to have disappeared.  Aoife McGraw is also still missing.

‘Clones’
The ‘clone’ population is increasing.  It will be recalled that the Buckley family arrived in the first few days.  They have now been joined by the Diehls and several single Sims.  However, compared with recent cycles, their numbers remain low and this can be regarded as a partial victory for SASP.

The Campaign for Real Sims

We’re not getting any younger, either.  What are we doing about the future of SASP?  Blair, I think you said Xena was showing an interest in human genealogy as well as the equine variety.  Do you think she’d like to take over as co-ordinator?  Or as archivist, at least?  Although I suppose we should wait until she’s finished her tasks.  They have to be the priority for now.  Maybe Ethan and/or River could be persuaded to take the helm in the interim.  If they’re not too busy being newlyweds and parents, that is.

Trottings and Jottings

Tuesday 7

I’ve chosen a career.  I thought of training and selling horses professionally but there’s not really enough space at home for Xanthippe, never mind a whole string of horses.  It’s probably better to keep riding as a paying hobby and go with something else as a job.  I wouldn’t want to be stuck in an office or working regular hours, even if I hadn’t just annoyed The Establishment by graduating in absentia.  Which is a fancy way of saying I bunked off and spent the day with Xanth.  Of course, then I found out that I was supposed to be valedictorian and had been voted Most Popular.  I’m rather less popular with my classmates now, I suspect.

Then I had an idea: why not become a private investigator?  I thought Mum would approve.  After all, it’s almost like the police.  I’m not sure why she smiled in quite that way, though.  What does she know that I don’t?

I think she must have been ringing round her friends, because I’ve been working for some very familiar faces.  I’d never actually met my first client but I knew who he was all right: James Ramsey, Auntie Emma’s son.

He’s a brat.  First he came up with some story about his mother stealing his toothbrush, then an equally unlikely story about missing mouthwash.  A brat who's obsessed with dental hygiene, it seems.  Still, two cases solved in two days isn’t bad going – and I think I persuaded him to apologise to Auntie Em.

*   *   *   *   *

Thursday 7

One of my leads sent me to snoop for clues at the beach.  It’s really beautiful there at dawn on a snowy day.

Oh, and after I finished admiring the scenery, I found the clue that cracked the case.

*   *   *   *   *

Saturday 7

My kid brother grew up today.

He says he wants to be a PI, too.  I never realised I was such a role model.  Maybe he can take over some of the more routine cases and give me more time with Xanth.

He seems to like talking to plants, but I haven’t heard him saying anything about them replying.  Imagine if they could talk, though!  I mean, everyone just ignores them.  I bet he’d pick up a lot of useful info that way.

I wonder whether he still believes in that imaginary friend of his?

*   *   *   *   *

Sunday 8

Amazing!  The Jockey Club recognised me as a full member.  It’s what I’ve always wanted but I wasn’t expecting it for ages yet.  I went home to tell everyone and found a surprise waiting in the drive.  ‘The aliens’ have rewarded me with a special van for achieving my dream.  It’s a bit odd-looking but it’s my favourite colour and it’s amazing to drive.  Just being in it makes me feel happy and ready for anything.

I’m almost starting to believe in the aliens.  I’ll be as mad as the rest of them soon.

*   *   *   *   *

Friday, Week 8

Dear Edie,

This will be the last entry, unless the aliens keep their side of the bargain and we all get to be revived in the distant future.  Assuming you’re still around in some form, Edie.  In which case, someone’s going to be furious with me.

My dear old friend Stiles died this morning.  He was 99.

I hacked into his account ages ago, of course, but I didn’t let on.  It was really rather sweet seeing him pour his insecure little heart out to you.

If we do get another chance, I’m going to make sure he gets to spend all of that life with his family.  He’s done so much for us.

Rest in peace, Stiles, old mate.  We’ll miss you.

‘Cyco’

Goodbye Stiles...it is sad to see you go. :( I love how you included the screencap of Cycl0n3 reacting...it made for a very touching ending.

The whole story progression/weird aging/moving out/disappearing thing is very...frustrating.

Goodbye Stiles...it is sad to see you go. :( I love how you included the screencap of Cycl0n3 reacting...it made for a very touching ending.

It was sad losing Stiles, even though I needed him to die for the sake of the game, both for his tombstone and to free up the space in the house (I accidentally moved in too many people and there wasn't room for another baby - and Xena may need more spaces for horses to finish her supermax).

I was hoping to get a screenshot of Cycl0n3 mourning but thought it would take far too long, given all of the other things that are going on in this game.  Then he very obligingly did it as soon as I cancelled the 'write' cue.

The whole story progression/weird aging/moving out/disappearing thing is very...frustrating.

It really is - especially when seeing the townies getting on with their lives was one of the best things about my other DecaDynasty.  I was sad for Emma that Dave Ramsey died so soon.  He aged up to elder on his way over for their wedding, so they should have had more than ten days together.

Not exactly an update

I had quite a lot of pictures to include with the notes and randomness this time and I was getting near the limit for a post, so they’re going in separately for a change – and Stiles deserved to get his sad ending to the chapter without it being diluted with this other stuff.

As I hinted in the story, Xena has been affected by the slow-skilling bug.  She took all of one weekend and over half of the next one learning to drive.  In retrospect, I don’t think the 2000 points were worth it.  It’s been a while since any of my Sim teenagers had to learn in a normal car rather than a motive mobile.  I didn’t bother getting anyone to teach Xavier.  He picked up plenty of points from reading books instead.

I did what I threatened and locked up River for most of her pregnancy.  Ethan gave her several watermelons as presents and there were more scattered around the room.  She definitely ate at least some of them but I don’t know whether it was that or pure chance that led to her having a girl.  The next two babies will be born in the household so I can guarantee more girls.  They won’t be able to move back into an active household but I can work around that.

In the finest tradition of dynasty games, Ethan and River got married in the bathroom and I couldn’t get any decent screenshots.  Ethan then joined his wife and daughter in the Crumplebottom house.  It’s the first time I’ve seen anyone move in there.

I missed seeing Xena get her lifetime wish because I wasn’t expecting it and had the camera elsewhere.  She maxed riding during one of her races and the wish fulfilled itself, even though she was less than halfway through the money requirement.  I expect she’ll have earned it honestly by the time she moves, though.

The aliens are obviously keeping a close eye on the household.  I happened to notice this in the car park by the bookshop:

Xena doesn’t always choose the most appropriate riding attire (maybe her father’s genes coming through).  It’s just as well she’s immune to cold.

Somewhat off topic, but does anyone know what this certificate is?

I think it’s Xena’s riding certificate but I’m not sure because I've been getting quite a lot of blank pop-ups since the last patch.  Some of them are the bad ones with the pink background, which is a bit worrying.  Her driving certificate is the same.  The last time I noticed, both looked like the handiness certificate (when the riding one appeared at all).

Since the next generation is growing up, I thought I’d include pictures of everyone.  First, the Sims who start as toddlers and bumps:

                                                    Sam Sekemoto, after using hair restorer/getting a wig

                                                                                      Sandi French

                                                                                      Owen Keaton

                                                                                      Yvette Ursine

And the new ones in this game:

                                                                Xena, who has grown up to look a lot like Blair

                                                                      Xavier, who has more of a mixture of genes

                                                                                          Tyrone Clavell

                                                                       The slightly scary-looking Deniz McGraw

                                                                                                  Richard Alto
Richard seems to have become the nectar merchant and has thinning hair when he’s not in his cap and gown.  He has the irresistible trait, which might make things interesting later on.

                                                                                      James Ramsey as a teenager

                                                                                  Alan Kimura, also still in his teens

And finally, Elizabeth Bunch, who is still a little girl.  I love that the game put a red-haired child into a green dress with matching shoes :).

I was about to ask if Elizabeth's red hair was an anomaly, but then I remembered that Fiona was a redhead.

So far so good on keeping townie blood alive. :)

Yes, I think that's Fiona's hair colour.  There seem to be quite a few young redheads around in this game.

Elizabeth seems to look pretty Bunchy otherwise.

About that certificate, the little icon reminds me of a diver. Also, I like the fact that you're trying to keep the town populated because lack of story progression is kinda scary for a dynasty. Atleast for me
