They have matching underwear! (First thing I noticed about the update)

Yup! I did change Chrissie's a little when I did her big makeover, but kept the same patterns etc. I was a little worried about showing them in their undies as I know this is a family friendly forum and it leaves little to the imagination... then I remembered people are totally OK with bikinis on here, so I relaxed. XD

On with the story!

The Ansari's house was an unassuming cottage high up in the northern crater, deep in the forest. Christa liked it here and always planned on living in the forest once she flew the nest. Now she followed her twin as they snuck around the back, looking for any way they could possibly get in.

"Check it out," hissed Chrissie. "I've heard of those kinds of holes in ancient tombs. They hold lock mechanisms. If I could just manipulate it, it might take us all the way down to Sir's lair."

"Got it!"
"Why would he have a technology thousands of years old to lock a door?" Christa wondered. "What wrong with an electric lock?"
"Something intruders aren't expecting, maybe?" suggested Chrissie. "How should I know, anyway? The guy's insane!"

The lock had opened up a curious set of stairs. With fast-beating hearts, the two girls descended down the long tunnel. They heard the whine of machinery, the bubble of liquid and the tap of a keyboard.
They peeped into the room.

There was Raja Ansari, tapping away on his computer. And beyond him was...

"...CRESS!"

Love the shot of the girls peeping from the wall! So cool. I hope they can get Cress away from the evil Raja Ansari but something tells me he didn't kidnap her...I may be crazy.

The girls' poses are another ForeverHailey set. I'm actually quite proud of how I did Cress. I have a pose of a child standing still with their eyes shut, and I put her inside the water column from Showtime (which is perhaps my favourite item ever. SO many science fiction possibilities). Changing her colour to make her look sickly and weak was just a case of getting her into CAS and adjusting her skin tone and hair colour to dying-plant-colours.

"I must say, this is quite a surprise," said Raja Ansari, turning to them. "I was expecting the police, but no, you two show up instead. I commend your bravery. Not many young girls would go after their sister's kidnapper alone with no backup."

"So you did kidnap her!"
"Of course. I need her. Her blood has valuable properties which I must extract."
"What kind of properties?" asked Chrissie.
"Does it even matter?" interrupted Christa, "You're killing our sister!"

"Why, the possibilities of eternal life, for one." Raja said. "Your mother made her from the combined DNA of humankind and the mystical Life Fruit, am I right? This could reverse aging! Is that not worth taking?"

The sisters didn't know what to say for a moment. Then Christa stepped forward. "You have no proof of that," she said. "You're just working on theories, on could bes and maybes. And if Cress was just a plant with no conscience then you'd have every right to take whatever you saw fit from her. But she's not. She's a person, and she's our sister, and you are going to give her back to us."

"Of course I will," said Raja pleasantly. "Once the process is complete, I will hand her back to you - whether she'll be alive is a moot point."
It was the wrong thing to say.
Both girls leapt towards him, full of fiery fury. Chrissie engaged him head-on, but Christa darted round towards the tube where Cress was being held.

Her sister looked awful; her life essence was being sucked out of her.
"Cress!" called Christa into the glass, but the little plant-girl didn't respond. "Hang on, Cress, I'll get you out of there."

Chrissie wasn't really strong enough to match Raja Ansari, but fortunately she had her wits on her side.

Behind them there was a deafening crash as Christa smashed the glass tube with a chair. Cress tumbled to the floor, as did Raja Ansari, clutching his groin.

Author's Note: I wanted to put in some shattered glass and puddles using Photoshop, but couldn't work out how to do it. I'm afraid you'll just have to imagine those!

"Cress... Cress!"

"Is she...?"
"She's still alive," said Christa, "But only just."
"Come on, we have to get out of here," snapped Chrissie.

Raja was still crumpled on the ground, immobile with pain.
"You stupid girls," he growled. "You think your mother is the only one who experimented with plant and animal DNA? Who experimented with Life Fruit? You think your mother and I are any different?"
"She at least tried to take care of what she made," muttered Christa, pretending not to hear him.
Something smashed through the laboratory wall.

Ummm... Oooh! Look! Coconuts! *runs away while everyone is distracted*

Both Christa and Chrissie were horrified with what they saw.
"What have you done, Raja?" gasped Christa. "This... this is an abomination!"
"Is it?" laughed Raja, staggering to his feet. "Is it really? It is simply a hybrid of animal and plant DNA. How is it any different from your little sister right there?"

"But you needn't worry," he continued with a fiendish leer. "It is entirely under my control. It will not harm you unless I command it to. Unfortunately, I am commanding it. CowPlant, get rid of these two foolish girls for me, so I may claim my prize!"
But the CowPlant did nothing.
"Do it!" snarled Raja. "I command you!"

That...

... was a mistake.

"So much for being 'under his control'. Come on, Christa, we need to go," said Chrissie. While the CowPlant was... er... busy, the two girls picked up their sister and darted for the stairs. Racing away into the night, they reached home ground just as dawn was breaking.

Author's Note: Have I given you guys nightmares yet? Have I? Have I? Hehe. Special thanks goes out to Zhippidy and Berry this time, for creating several of these poses.
