Fortune lazes around, not having to work for almost 14 days. She spends most of her time rocking, planning.

Fortune had been swiping Life Fruit from the Glowbugs for a while now, she didn't want to get old, didn't want to die. She would dare anything to avoid death.  What spoils a good game like Death? Well, unless death is part of the game, of course.


She heard some rustling behind her, and lo and behold, there was a stranger in the house. What an odd looking red man, she wondered if Mars over there knew those went out of style in like; 3000 BC


Fortune: What are you doing here?! Who are you?!
Artie: How could you possibly not know who I am?  I'm Artie.  The Artie.  You know.. the reaper that did a dynasty? Fireflies don't know the answer to your other question.  Got any ideas, thoughts, papayas? Not only are they fun to say, I'm hungry and they're tasty. Mmm Papaya.


Hmm, a reaper, Fortune had never played a game with a reaper before. Why not?
Fortune: Tell ya what, why don't we play poker until those.. ummmm... fireflies... figure out what you're doing here?
Artie: Whoo poker!  That comes with chips and they're tasty, too.


They played hand after hand, that red guy sure had an awful poker face. She wasn't even sure if he was entirely sane!
He'd lose a hand, claim he'd won with "A pair of eleventeens", chuckle to himself, and then play again. This was almost too good.


Artie: Oooh! I win this one!
Fortune: Maybe if we were playing Blackjack, genius.
Artie: I am a genius, thank you.  Well then, Non chewy Poker chips for brains, who does win?
Fortune: Me!


Fortune formulated a plan, maybe this reaper could be useful.


Fortune: Hey Artie, instead of losing your shirt.. errr... toga-thing, how about an IOU for 7, lucky number 7, free reapings?
Artie: Nahhh, seven is too much work. I can do immortality and one free reaping though, sound good?
Fortune: *Secretly Delighted* You drive a hard bargain Artie, I accept.
Artie *Thinks* Hah! That woman doesn't know a THING about bargaining. She's getting almost nothing out of it! *Says* "Got any Eights?"
Fortune: Nah, I got something better, Royal Flush!


She looks happy, Doesn't she? After this last hand, Artie got up from the table, said "There you go, an IOU for a reaping, and you're immortal."


Artie saw himself out, muttering to himself in a smugly satisfied way.
Artie: That'll show her to try'n fleece Artie Grim, that's how it's done. Didn't even have any papayas.  Fireflies away!
