Heartbreaker LTW

Hi all, I'm enquiring regarding the Heartbreaker LTW.
I know there's a guide on it already but I don't see this bit being mentioned.
Anyway my question is whether does the sim really have to be the boyfriend of 10 sims or will just  romantic interest will do?
My sim can't seem to get the option to ask another girl to go steady after he's had 1 current girlfriend.

You need to break up with the existing one before you can move on. Or I think it's "Ask to be just friends."

You have to ask them to go steady, then break up with them. Repeat for nine other sims. Best way is to get a bunch of romantic interests first...then go through the process of asking to go steady followed by breaking up.

Oh, okay, thanks a lot. I thought it required me to be boyfriend to 10 people at the same time.
Ok, I'm halfway there. I have 1 girlfriend and 6 romantic interests.

I'm almost scared to start that challenge.  Trying to keep up with all those romantic interests in alphabetical order makes my head spin!  I had fun with the romantic part in the Wishmasters Challenge, but it didn't require extensive recordkeeping!

I'm playing a Heartbreaker LTW right now.  I wish there were other options besides just Mean > Breakup.   How about a "It's not you, it's me" option or even "I think we should start seeing other people" option.   heh

And does anyone else think the breakup music is the saddest music ever?  I feel like such a meanie!

Is there any tricks to finding single sims?  It seems most of the sims I meet have partners already.  I work to get the relationship to friend then find out they have a partner.  I know you can ask them to break up with the partner but I'm too soft hearted for that.

I've thought that too.  One of my Sims did run into an ex on the street and got a just be friends option but that's after all the bad moodlets were all over with.

If I have a Sim that's looking for love I try to buy the observant reward. You can cut a lot of wasted time that way.

When you first meet someone, you can click "romantic" and the option to find out if they are single is there.  If I use a town that I have not been in much and I don't know the sim, that is the first thing I ask them after my intro is, "are you single", that way, I don't waste time even getting to be friends, unless it is someone that I really want my sim to continue with.

Love that bright red hair!  There's no doubt the kids on the right are Harry's.
