Overwatch/Error Trap

Do either of these mods have any additional benefits, like fixing tuning problems with the game? I checked the code for the fit atmosphere buff, and it is still broken at .5, however my sim did gain athletic skill excedingly fast at the gym. She seems to have learnt other skills somewhat faster, too. She doesn't have the fast learner LTR, or any other skill boosting effects.

Not that I'm aware of but if you saved while your Sim was in a good mood there is the skill gaining bug.

You may want to look at Twallan's "Retuner" mod. You can change many things with this mod.

Thank MoMoll, but I don't actually want that to happen. Doesn't overwatch have a script that stops skill gain problems? She was in a great mood - I always try to keep my sims ecstatic, especially for skilling (regular dining at the bistro practically ensures ambrosia moodlet), and she had maxed logic - but I've never seen it work this well before!

I think the reset function in either Overwatch or Master Controller (don't remember which) will reset the skill gain boost to what it's supposed to be based on your sim's current moodlets, but won't stop it from creeping back up again.

Not sure. I have not experienced the excessive skill gain, that others are talking about.

What we're talking about is discussed under this thread for freakishly fast skilling.

Yes, I read the thread; but, for some reason have never experienced that issue. I use overwatch and error trap; but, have never changed their default settings.

Good luck on finding a solution.

Thanks Rica - I had skimmed over that thread because I automatically assumed it was for vampires. I'm sure I read a similar thread about vampires once before... I hadn't experienced that glitch before either. I can't imagine how fast she'd have skilled up her athletic if she wasn't at the gym!!! Have they found a reason for it, or are we still compiling data? If I had to guess I'd say it might have had something to do with tutoring skills somehow.

The reason for it is right there in the thread I linked.   Twallan gave the answer and someone quoted it.  It's because of University Life.
