Objects turning semi-invisible in Build/buy mode

Whenever I go into Build/Buy mode some/most objects turn semi-invisible (almost ghost like where you can see them but you can also see through them) The only way they become solid again is when I select an object then release it again. Now I have a bed that is in a ghost like state in build/buy mode that wont let me select it. I have tried all the tools and it still wont work. Please someone help this is really getting annoying.

Is this on a festival lot?

try moving to an empty lot and them move back into the same house.

everything should be there just as you left it and hopefully working.
That repairs the things found in the junkyards.
Maybe it will reset your objects, too.
