I like Grace, but I really don't like her having an affair with Blake. It's so not right on several levels. (And, well, I despise Blake.) I still hope that when they move, Grace will find a good faithful unmarried man and will be happy.

Blake is an utter nonentity to me. He started out as a frog, and I still think of him as one. On another note, my completely unreliable allegiances have refocused on Kylara. She's the coordinator, and it's fun to watch. And a message for Mist: enjoy ruling the underworld. It's your rightful position. By the way, is it okay if I make Aliya the Goddess of Love or something? She clears enjoys matchmaking.
I'm not pedantic! I just believe in precision of language.

Blake, Blake was gaming the system from what I can tell. I still kinda like Blake over that. He's remorseless and seemingly casual about it.
I agree with how you feel about Blake.
Blake is more like a man, and Jason is more like a child. Blake makes decisions and acts deliberately - even if it goes against the poll. He's not afraid of people hating him or punishing him, while Jason just runs around begging people to make his decisions for him. Might as well cut up his food for him and spoon-feed him while we're at it.

Say things were different, say Grace was picked for Heir and Jason was pushed up with her because of that. Now, if (without help of love potions/Crazy Treasure) he went after Treasure anyway and said "I do as I please" then that would change my opinion and I would only hate him for a short time while he was rude to Grace. I'd get over it, Grace could've moved on with another guy and Jason would have made an honest decision for himself. However, the only person to actually do that in this case was Blake. So I may not agree with all of the things Blake does, but I can't help but respect him for not letting other people tell him how to live his life. He wanted Mist, so he went after Mist. Now it seems he wants Grace so he's after her.

In a day, Blake brought Grace to the Botanical Gardens to ask her a very important question. He knew that he should wait longer, for the sake of decency, but, in a way, he and Mist had been apart for a long time. With their different schedules, they had barely spoken in weeks, let alone done anything else.

"Grace." He dropped to one knee, reaching for something in his pocket. She leaned over, looking in curiosity, then gasped and stepped back as she saw that he pulled out a small velvet box.

"We've known each other for seventeen years, and been in love just as long, even when we didn't know it. You are truly the most beautiful woman in the world, which is a nice bonus, but I don't care about that. You're sweet, and kind, and the strongest person I know. I can't help smiling every time I see you, and I want to be with you forever. It's a little redundant at this point in the speech, but will you marry me?"

"Of course I will!" she laughed speechlessly, gazing at the ring on her finger. "This is the happiest day of my life."

Blake and Grace Moonstone: The First Perfect Couple in Moonstone History

Grace laughed again as Blake swept her up into his arms. "Let's get married today," she whispered in his ear. "I want the girls to be here, and--even Jason and Treasure."

  Several hours later . . .

"I can't believe this," Kylara muttered. "Not only do I have to come to the wedding, I have to be a bridesmaid."

"Don't you dare complain!" Cyllia growled good-naturedly. "I am wearing a dress for the first time in my life--and the last, too. There are flowers in my hair. I hate flowers. Besides, you love this dress! You were going to wear it to Prom!"

"Yes, and now it's ruined for me forever."

"Oh, will you two stop whining," Aliya interrupted. "You both look lovely, and the wedding will be lovely, and I'm finally going to have a dad! And they're not total strangers, either--this is Mom and Blake we're talking about! We should be happy for them!"

"And if anyone has the right to complain, it's me. I look like a marshmallow in this dress, and I love dresses!"

"I can't believe Dad's getting married again," Kylara said softly. "And so soon, too. I liked Grace when she was just another grown-up. She was my favorite grown-up besides my parents. But I don't want her to be my mum."

Cyllia started to reassure her, only to fall silent at the sight of her own mother walking across the grass.

"Mother, you look great!" It was the first time she had seen Treasure in anything besides her usual dress and a police uniform--and also the first time she had seen her mother with a genuine smile,  not a psychotic or hysterical one.

"Thank you, Cyllia," she answered warmly, and the mother and daughter hugged.

"I agree," Jason added with a kiss. Treasure blushed and smiled.

The guests milled around, talking quietly, but fell silent when the sun set and the bride and groom took their places beneath the arch.

Blake couldn't believe how beautiful Grace looked in her dress. Both wore less-than-traditional wedding wear: black instead of white, with pink highlights. Blake was in Spanish-themed formalwear, Grace wearing an Egyptian dress with matching earrings, her hair twisted and held up with glittering barrettes. No one could say that they didn't look absolutely perfect together.

  Not even Kylara.

Everyone cheered when the ceremony ended and the first perfect couple in Moonstone history kissed beneath the arch, and there was laughter when they didn't stop for several minutes.

"Congratulations, Daddy," Kylara murmured in her father's ear as they hugged after the wedding.

  "Thank you, Ky."

"Congrats, Grace! Make sure Blake knows he's a very lucky man."

"Thanks, Jason," she answered with a grin. By now, she and Jason had reconciled a hundred times over--they were both the easygoing, forgiving kind who had quickly found that they were better friends than they had ever been lovers.

Grace approached her sister with trepidation. "What did you think of the wedding, Treasure?"

"It was wonderful, Grace. Congratulations! Make sure you take good care of Blake."

She was surprised to find that Treasure hugged her, seeming sincere in her congratulations. Perhaps all of this therapy and careful stabilizing was doing something, after all.

She was even more surprised to find that she could watch Jason and Treasure kiss without the slightest twinge of jealousy.

Since when? The last time they interacted was the best! When she was screaming at what a pathetic piece of meat he was for not making decisions.
Beautiful wedding, still hate Jason to the core.

Edit to say: I agree, they are the first PERFECT couple in Moonstone history. :)

Just wait until the battle of who becomes heir starts again. I bet Treasure will do ANYTHING to make Cyllia become heir :P.

In the Moonstone Legacy's non-defense, sleeping isn't all that interesting  ;) . Thanks!

This is a happy update! We just have to assume that stuff has been happening behind the scenes that we are unaware of, and everyone is supposed to be happy, not screaming at each other!

They truly are. Of course, there wasn't much to compete with!

Ookay, that is your right. Just so you know, I don't despise him. Then again, I never did! He was too much fun to play.

Congrats Grace and Blake! This is really perfect. I just hope no one screws it up...

People, don't you recognize a happy ending when you see one? It's almost time for the girls to move, so I'm wrapping up all the loose ends!

Who'd have thought black and magenta make for such a beautiful wedding palette?

Like most, I was rooting for Grace to find a new, deserving partner. Blake and Jason just seemed too fickle and unscrupulous. However, Grace's actions in recent chapters are leading me to believe she's as indecisive as the lot of them, which would make Blake a suitable partner as any.

I did! (Well, I didn't, but I went for it anyway.)

What makes you think she's indecisive? Besides, I think she and Blake were always just meant for each other, and the best love stories take ages to work themselves out.

Just wait until the battle of who becomes heir starts again. I bet Treasure will do ANYTHING to make Cyllia become heir :P.

Again, this is a happy ending. No more battles, or sabotage, or hate. They made rules about that, you know.

Jason and Treasure came home before the rest of the party. "We have the house to ourselves for a few hours," Jason murmured.

"Three hours and thirteen minutes and forty-two seconds, to be exact." Treasure smiled.

"Now we're all half-sisters!" Aliya announced. "You're not just our aunt any more."

  ". . . lovely."

"Kylara?" Grace called as she advanced on her daughter and stepdaughter. "Kylara? Can I talk to you?"

"Sorry, Grace, homework!" Grace sighed as she watched her new stepdaughter race through the grass, jump the pool, and sprint out of the gardens. Does she really hate me that much?

"Don't worry," Blake reassured her as they embraced. "Kylara's just a little shaken by everything that's been happening. She'll warm up to you soon enough. In the meantime . . ."

The next morning, the kids went to school. Grace tried to find Kylara before the bus left, only to find that she had gone early for the "math tutoring session." As if Kylara had ever needed tutoring in her life! At least it meant that she and Blake could spend the day in the hot tub.

"The bus comes back at 3:00," Grace explained in between kisses. "And it's 2:40 now. I have to corner her right when she gets home, or I won't get to talk to her at all. We only have twenty minutes."

"Now you're looking at it the wrong way--we have twenty minutes. How long can you hold your breath underwater?"

She laughed, then they both ducked down into the steaming water.

"Kylara! Kylara! Kylara!' She finally caught up to her stepdaughter, still dripping. "I wanted to talk to you--and now I'm in my swimsuit, which isn't exactly the way I planned for things to happen, and it isn't because I was in the hot tub with your dad, but--"

"Grace, maybe you can just stop bothering me," Kylara said politely. "I meant what I said before you told me Mum died. Wherever you go, problems seem to show up. I don't want you to do that to my family."

Grace sighed. "I know you don't want a new mom, Kylara. And this is all the more confusing because we're half-sisters, and my daughter is your best friend, and it's all in this big muddle. But I think your mother--she was never mine--would have wanted you to have someone to take care of you in ways that Blake never could. I want to be that person. Now, do you need any help with your Prom dress?"

  "What do you think, Mom?"

"Aliya! You look lovely! Have a wonderful time at Prom."

"Now remember, Cyllia, no dancing with strangers, no drinking the punch--it's always spiked--and if things get too rowdy, call me, and I'll round everybody up."

"Thanks, Mother. I wasn't going to do any of those things anyway, but thanks."

"Thank you for the help with my dress, Grace."

"Thanks, Kylara. Go have a great time at the dance."

Three beautiful, unique girls descended the stairs into the limo.

"You were right. I just talked to her, and she seems to be opening up."

"That's wonderful. I always hoped that my two girls would be on speaking terms."

"Don't get things confused! I am your girl. She is your daughter."

  "Yes'm."

At the Prom, all three girls were asked by their dates to go steady. And all three turned them down for one very simple reason: they would be moving that very night, and there was no room for attachments in this city.

Aliya is still a veritable Treasure clone (how, exactly?), but she's gone Showtime with her clothes! Traits: Great Kisser, Flirty, Irresistible, Charismatic, Ambitious/Family-Oriented. Lifetime Wish: Heartbreaker.

Kylara has turned into a truly gorgeous young woman, with Cassandra's eyes and much of her father's face. Traits: Ambitious, Genius, Family-Oriented, Bookworm, and Workaholic. Lifetime Wish: World-Renowned Surgeon.

Cyllia has matured quite a bit, but also discovered a bit of style in her new, practical wardrobe. She still looks a lot like Treasure, with her pretty black eyes. Traits: Genius, Eccentric, Loner, Handy (possibly), Excitable (possibly). Lifetime Wish: Paranormal Profiteer.

  'Tis time to choose.

Im really conflicted. I love them all. I want to choose Alyia because of her being graces child. I love Kylara's personality. Ugg, I don't know what to do!

I voted Aiya, for Grace. And because she has no votes. But I am happy with anyone. (Kind of hoping its Kylara)
