I love the last line. " Two sets of newlyweds slept in two rooms that night. Only one of each pair was pure of heart. And another was downright evil.". That perfectly explains it! Congrats to all the couples! Even though treasure and Jason shouldn't even be with who there with. But congrats never the less.

Thank you very much  :) . I do like to get sims all mixed up in different and strange pairings--it's loads of fun.

All is as I have foreseen. Too bad my darling Treasure did not succeed her even more darling to me mother  ;D

It's true, she didn't become heir, but her line has not died out yet!

Hehehe. I do so love the somewhat insane passion of my readers. It's adorable  ;D .

Better People

During her pregnancy, Treasure spent much of her time painting on the balcony outside Grace and Jason's room. Her presence made it difficult to "hang out" in the bedroom, since the doors were made of glass.

Instead, the newlyweds retreated to the hot tub.

"Jason," Grace murmured as they relaxed in the steam, "I think I might be pregnant."

"Babe, that's wonderful!" Jason did his best to ignore the memory of his ex-girlfriend and sister-in-law, telling him she was pregnant moments after she was married. Chances were the baby was Blake's, anyway, so why worry about it?

But then Grace left to practice, and Jason went back to his room to shower and change, only to find someone very familiar and very unwelcome. You see, Treasure had chosen her position strategically: she had driven Jason and Grace from the privacy of their bedroom to a place where she could easily supervise them. It was all too easy to slip Jason something at breakfast, let it wear down his defenses all day, then give him a stronger dose just before she made her move.

And it was only getting easier every day.

Perhaps you have noticed that Mist hasn't been in the story much. Perhaps she has simply been occupied with assuming control of Lucky Palms--no, she did that ages ago. Perhaps she's stayed holed up in her room in a deep depression. Perhaps Blake brought his mother-in-law some flowers one morning in a way that was meant to be completely platonic.

And perhaps she looked at him closely and felt a strange little flutter while scrutinizing the young medical student. Perhaps he then stumbled over his own words and fell silent, looking back at her.

And perhaps Mist's much better at seduction than anyone gives her credit for.

"Well, that was fun, but not the best. I'm going to work now, so just--whatever."

Blake sighed to himself, roaming the halls of the house alone. He had just been promoted to being a Resident which, as we all know from Grey's Anatomy, is incredibly exhausting. His home life was simply strange, even a little lonely. He was developing startlingly deep feelings for his mother-in-law, who seemed to have no feelings for him at all, and Treasure was constantly AWOL: he only saw her in the morning and at night. Blake did love Treasure, more than he would have thought possible, but at the same time . . . If only he could find someone who would admit she loved him without just saying it to placate him, who was kind and sweet and genuinely interested in him.

Grace Moonstone, quickly advancing in the Music career, had spent days searching for the perfect room to play guitar in. She finally settled on Treasure and Blake's room, which had lots of empty space and perfect acoustics, and was often empty.

"Oh, sorry for being in here!" Grace said hurriedly as she saw Blake. "It's just that I needed to practice guitar for work, and--"

"No, it's fine," Blake assured her, glancing at his feet. Both young, abandoned newlyweds found themselves suddenly and undefinably filled with attraction for each other.

Almost not knowing what was happening, they found themselves kissing in the center of the room. Maybe it would have been easier if they were somewhere else, in public, with something to remind them of reality. It was a trick of the universe that they first fell into each other's arms in a room, with a door, and a bed.

"So why won't you marry me already?"

"I told you, Treasure, I love Grace, too. And every time I see you, I fall in love with you all over again, and that just makes me feel guilty. We shouldn't see each other. I know Grace would never do something like this to me."

"Of course she would," Treasure said sweetly, taking Jason's hand in hers. "She would betray you if she had the chance, she's just so stupid and ugly that no one would ever let her near them. Now, just remember that you love me."

In a room less than two yards away from where Treasure and Jason engaged in certain activities, Treasure's husband and Jason's wife engaged in those same certain activities.

"What about Treasure? And your husband?"

"We can worry about that later," Grace murmured, pulling him forward. She had worked very hard for Jason, and was certain that he was fully in love with her, but now . . . the rules kept on changing, and she didn't know how to keep up with them. Never mind the positive pregnancy test or the scheduled appointment at the doctor's office. She could worry about that in an hour. Or two.

"I don't want to stop this, but--"

"Blake, they're better people than we are, and I'm willing to accept that if we can be together."

"Stop being so paranoid, Jason. They won't find out."

Two by two, four people emerged into the living room, taking care to leave a large gap between each other. All were dressed for bed, but still awake, even though it was two in the morning.

"Hey, beautiful," Jason greeted her with a light kiss. "What are you still doing up?"

"I was waiting for you to come back," she answered airily. "Ready for bed?"

"I was at the library reading up on all of the pregnancy books," Treasure assured her husband. "Apparently, our baby is forming hands right now!" Her eyes briefly met Jason's on the word our.

  "Are you tired?"

"Not at all," she laughed, pulling him into a kiss.

  So, the final results:

Jason: Still being love-potioned every day, but his previous affection for Treasure and guilt over ruining her life are beginning to affect him more than the potion ever could. All in all, everything is going according to Treasure's plans.

Grace: She's noticing Jason's absence, but is sure that he isn't betraying her, out of either deep-seated trust or desperate insecurity--either way, she's so in love with him that she can't think anything but the best of him. Essentially, her biggest defense is denial. The question is, will she deny her fling with Blake, even to herself?

Blake: Previously the family's golden boy, he's now in love with Treasure, Grace, and Mist, which pretty much puts him on either the top or the bottom of the food chain. How will the friendly, honest guy handle being in three separate relationships, all but one of which count as cheating in some way or another?

Treasure: Well, she's still just plain crazy.

I expect Azokka either to yell at everyone and totally dominate or else get out the popcorn.-Ombradellarosa

Go Grace!  ;D Retaliation is everything in situations such as this one. And yes, I know she's not trying to retaliate but still!

I love that Treasure called Grace ugly when they're pretty close to identical, just with different coloring.

Go Grace!  ;D Retaliation is everything in situations such as this one. And yes, I know she's not trying to retaliate but still!

Is it? Is it really?

I love that Treasure called Grace ugly when they're pretty close to identical, just with different coloring.

Haha, I quite like it, too. Just goes to show her distorted view of the world.

I really wish you hadn't mentioned the family trees earlier azokka XD.  I have no will power and so I looked.  However, even knowing what I do I'm looking forward to seeing how it all plays out.

I couldn't resist! I love seeing who succumbs and who stays strong.

Spoilers are my drug and I love how the Moonstones went from normal family drama to Mist and her progeny's games  ;D

I love spoilers, too--another reason that I mentioned the family tree! I know, that's been on my mind lately, too, and I actually have a very good idea . . .

This is my favorite story on the boards, and things just keep getting more interesting! I love all their awesome hairstyles, especially Treaure's. Where did you get them?

Wow, high praise indeed  ;D ! Treasure's is from Island Paradise, and most of the other's (Grace's is from Ambitions) are from the Store. Any that you particularly like?

I'm trying so hard not to look at the family tree, but TEMPTATIONS!

Stay strong! I promise the horrible pain will be worth it.

If Cassandra were alive to see her family.... smh

Hahaha. Again, I've come up with a plan that may help out with that.

If Cassandra were alive to see her family, it would be priceless to see her horrified reaction, followed by shock as she found herself corrupted by Mists' Aura  ;D

Too true. She'd probably meet all her grandkids then run away.

Different Directions
« Reply #387 on: August 10, 2013, 04:24:53 PM »
I believe this picture really says everything. Blake is being pulled in three different directions. Treasure is more . . . well, she's still popping wishes for Blake, but she only thinks about Jason.

Grace rolled out of bed in the middle of the night, right into the end table, and something on her finger caught her eye. She raised her hand towards the window to see the same sparkling ring that Jason had placed on her finger not so long ago--and her mind flashed back to that magical day.

At that moment, she did The Spin, and her mind was, once again, completely made up.

In the morning, Grace had to run off to an undisclosed location, and Treasure was painting out on the balcony--if by painting you mean that she was standing behind the glass doors waving her hands impatiently. Treasure Mating Call.

"I've been up for ten minutes, and I realized that I missed you," Treasure explained after she and Jason kissed. "Must be all of these pregnancy hormones."

If you had any doubts that Treasure wasn't a master manipulator . . . well, let them be cleared.

There must be some irony in the fact that Treasure and Jason were only able to rendezvous because Grace was meeting Blake.

"Last night, I promised myself that I wouldn't meet you."

  "And you came anyway?"

"I blame you for being so good-looking."

  "Love you, too."

"Wait a second," he interrupted the kiss, pulling away. "I just noticed--you're in maternity wear. Are you--"

"Yeees," she answered evasively. "And I know what you're going to ask, and frankly I have no idea. It's not like Jason and I have stopped, you know, and I can't get a test, at least not until he or she is born. I guess we'll just wait and see. Okay?"

  Three Minutes Later:

"Why don't we just spend the whole day here?" Grace asked sleepily. "Smuggle in some food, lock the door, and--"

At that moment, Blake's cell phone on the end table rang. He picked it up, took a glance, and . . .

  "Mist . . ."

"What? I was bored." She rolled her eyes, then pulled him into a kiss. "And I have had the worst backache all day. Can you take care of that?"

"All right," he answered grudgingly. "Now, is there anything going on in your head? Do you feel lonely, stressed--"

"I thought you were studying to become a neurosurgeon, not a psychologist," she muttered snidely.

He began to step away, but she caught his arm and kissed him again. "I'm just . . . bored, okay? There's nothing interesting or fun in this horrible desert. Now, will you stop acting so annoying? I'm wearing lingerie, for evilness sake!"

  "You're bored? Very, horribly bored?"

  "Uh-huh."

"I might know something that could help with that."

Mist refused to admit to anyone but herself that she genuinely liked Blake. In truth, he was the only man she had ever met whose company she actually enjoyed. Not just the romantic stuff, either--they talked, and made jokes (or he made jokes that she made fun of), and beat each other senseless at chess. Perhaps she was going soft in her old age, she thought in amusement. Well, hanging out with Blake was the only interesting part of her day, so why not actually enjoy it?

It was as they played chess one afternoon that she received the most unsettling news of her life. And, of course, there was no way to hide it from Blake: he was right there at the time.

"Mist, don't worry about this! You're more than strong enough to do this alone, but I'm not going to let you do it alone anyway, so accept the fact that I'm not going anywhere."

"Maybe our baby will grow up to be heir," Mist mused out loud.

"Maybe. But it shouldn't matter, not now."

"The doctor said she's a girl."

  "Our baby girl?"

  "Our baby girl."

In Blake's constant absence, Treasure and Jason were also forced to spend more time apart, simply because Grace needed her husband. He was thrilled to find that she was pregnant, but, unlike Blake, he wasn't exactly a mountain. Jason was nervous to be a dad, and secretly prayed every night that he wouldn't be a horrible parent.

In any case, he would be trying out his parenting style sooner rather than later, since Treasure went into labor before her due date in the hallway.

As, all around her, everyone else in the household was too preoccupied to even notice. Not that she cared, really, since having a baby wasn't exactly a big deal for her. It's what came after that mattered.

Treasure gave birth to a beautiful little girl with green skin. One could already see that Cyllia resembled her mother, with the same dark eyes and, perhaps, nose and mouth. It was also obvious that she was quite a sensible little girl, who didn't appreciate frills or bows. Cyllia Moonstone, the girl whose mother wanted her to be the next heir.

She's adorable!  However, I gotta go for Grace's little ones being heir... Or Mist's newest baby XD  Which, all new meaning to being someone's sister AND Aunt XD
