Crazy, come get your Treasure because she just surpassed you by about a good 1000 miles. As for Grace I kind of want her end up with Blake now he seems so sweet. Jason, potions or no potions, need to end up with Treasure so that she can dispose of him. He's served his purpose.

Yeah, I really don't like Jason... I know he was drugged this time, but he's been so wishy-washy this whole time, he really does deserve to be disposed of XD

Under the Spell

(I added an additional family tree to the first page with only the bloodline, none of the annoying spouses, so it's not so convoluted. Warning: There are still spoilers! By the way, might want to check out the Family Tree if you're a lover of spoilers. However, I STRONGLY URGE you to not look, because I'm sure you'll enjoy being surprised as events happen in the story! Oh, and because I'll be updating a lot in the next few days, so you probably want to wait for the big unveiling of everything. Matter of fact, why don't I just remove this note--)

Anyone remember where we left off?

Immediately, Treasure could see that the potion was beginning to wear off. It would usually last at least 24 hours, but Jason hadn't swallowed nearly enough of the nectar. Time for Plan B, otherwise known as Justine Thyme.

Treasure had hired party dancers the day before and stationed them in the front yard to wait for her signal. Just as laid out, they drew the guests up into the house while Treasure coaxed Jason along to the little house next to the pool.

In the back of her mind, Treasure remembered that there was a saying about life being hard, or not fair, or something. Ha! Those people don't know what they're talking about.

Her mind snapped back as Jason pulled away, even as Treasure held tightly onto his hand. "Wait," he started, "what about Grace?"

"She and Blake won't be back for ages."

"No, that wasn't what I--" Treasure sighed impatiently and interrupted him with another kiss.

"Look," she finally said, as nicely as she could, "I know that you like you're cheating on Grace, but it isn't technically cheating. You cheated on me with Grace for years, and now we're just evening the score. Got it?"

She couldn't tell much with all of the steam rising from the hot tub, but was certain that she saw a little mist cover his eyes. "Just evening the score," he repeated.

"Just evening the score, Jason. And then it will be all nice and flat."

Once again, Jason was completely under her spell. In fact, Treasure mused, perhaps he would partake in such "activities" with her even without the aid of the elixir. Maybe the guilt of effectively ruining her life would be enough. That was something to consider in the future--one objective at a time.

Treasure was positive that she heard chimes. All according to plan. But, just to be safe .  . . "Is Grace back yet?"

  "No."

  "Sweet."

At this point, she didn't even know why she was doing this--not that there was no reason, but that there were far too many. 1) The Master Plan. 2) Loving Jason. 3) Getting back at Grace for a) stealing heir b) stealing Jason c) being unworthy of existence.

I do love Jason, and I do want to get back at Grace, and I do have the Master Plan, so why not let all of that be accomplished at once?

Blake returned home several hours later to find Treasure fast asleep. He smiled, lifting the covers lightly as not to wake her, and gently kissed her on the forehead before falling asleep.

Grace found Jason sleeping in their bed, too, but there was a little suspicion in the back of her mind whispering that something was off. The crease of the blankets, the way the pillow was propped, how Jason's clothes were laid out on the floor and something undefinable in his face . . .

All four slept through the day, completely exhausted by the events of the night. The following evening: a wedding.

This is awesome. But what if Grace does have the heir, and Treasure just raises him/her after Grace suffers an "accident". ;) If you know what I mean.

I assume you're shaking your head at Jason and . . . yeah . . . no need to stop anytime soon.

Oh, trust me--there's going to be something that you will never see coming!  ;D .

Ain't she, though? It's a good thing Wogan didn't donate too much to her features  :P .

Nah, Mist invented the Moonstone Evil Scale. Treasure is barely starting.

Newlyweds
« Reply #371 on: August 09, 2013, 01:39:28 PM »
Treasure Moonstone and Blake Kraus were married as the sun set over Lucky Palms. Treasure had decorated the site with dozens of flower bushes and trees: she despised the desert, and wanted to have the perfect wedding she had always dreamed of.

It wasn't difficult to admit that the absolute best part of the wedding was inviting Jason.

But, as the ceremony progressed, Treasure found herself thinking less and less about Jason and more and more about Blake--well, not Blake so much as the wedding. She had always dreamed about being married when the family moved to Hidden Springs, not the desert.

"You know there are showers here?" Treasure whispered in his ear.

Jason made half-hearted conversation with one of the other guests, but all the while he couldn't keep from glancing over at the newlyweds. Ridiculous, he knew, and hypocritical, but he could feel the stirrings of jealousy already.

It was very important that Treasure cornered Blake quickly--they hadn't tried yet, and if he thought the baby wasn't his it would all fall apart.

Once they emerged from the bathroom, Jason started yelling at Blake, who, also being a male, started yelling back, even if he didn't have a clue about why they were yelling at each other.

Before long, the shouting escalated to a full-out brawl. Blake, being more athletic, easily pounded Jason into the dust.

Almost laughing, Treasure kissed Blake good night and promised to meet him at home. The moment he climbed into his car, she turned her eyes towards Jason.

"Why are you doing all of this?" Jason asked softly. Treasure rolled her eyes. Because it's fun, of course!

"Because I love you," she promised with absolute sincerity. "But I made a vow to Blake a long time ago, and you to Grace, so now w're all locked into this hopeless situation." Not that I would change anything if I could, of course. If Grace finds out about us, that just means that I've struck another blow against my worthless sister, the so-called heir.

"Well, we have to stop, right now," Jason stated firmly. "And there's nothing you can say that will change my mind."

"Really?" Treasure whispered mournfully, hiding a smirk. Time to bring out the big guns. Switching into her maternity wear, she gently laid a hand over her stomach and raised an eyebrow. Jason looked like he was about to asphyxiate.

"Hey!" Grace airily floated across the sand, right into Jason's surprised arms. "My shift at the Theatre finally ended--sorry I couldn't make it to the wedding, Treasure, but congratulations!" Treasure smiled forgivingly, but ground her teeth in her smiling mouth. Of course, Grace had shown up at just the wrong moment! She had been so, so close . . .

Glancing to the left, Grace suddenly had an idea. "Why don't we get married right now? Of course, we'll have to get rid of all that flowery crap first, but I don't want to wait any longer." She glanced up at Jason's face, searching for a sign. She was sure that there was something going on between her fiancé and her sister, and it was time to put a stop to it.

In no time at all, Jason and Grace were standing below the arch. Looking at Grace, Jason completely forgot about Treasure--not forgot, exactly, but pushed her out of his mind. He loved Grace. Grace loved him. That was all.

The ceremony was small, informal, the only audience being a lone woman with golden skin who stood up on the sandy hill. Behind the arch, the mountains of the desert towered above, cast in shadow.

In a word: It was perfect.

Right after they exchanged rings, Treasure approached Grace, allegedly to offer congratulations. Instead, she growled, "You think this is over, Garbage Pile. But it's not over, not by a long shot. Watch your back, sis."

While Treasure stood there, glaring, Jason hurried over to see his wife. The two giggled, being frisky right there on the beach.

"You know Treasure's pregnant?" Jason told Grace quietly as they cuddled that night.

"No way! She and Blake planned it this early?"

"Yeah, she told me at the wedding." She told me that the baby is mine.

"I'm sure you know what that means," Grace said flirtatiously, moving a little closer to him. "We should start catching up to the race."

Two sets of newlyweds slept in two rooms that night. Only one of each pair was pure of heart. And another was downright evil.

I love the last line. " Two sets of newlyweds slept in two rooms that night. Only one of each pair was pure of heart. And another was downright evil.". That perfectly explains it! Congrats to all the couples! Even though treasure and Jason shouldn't even be with who there with. But congrats never the less.
