In response to all the comments: hahahahaha. You paranoid diabolical masterminds are hilarious! All I can say is that I'm far ahead enough that I cannot use your brilliant ideas--and anyway, I love mayhem too much to have everything just "work out." Before the actual story begins, I would like to point out this very unusual picture.
Also, both
Grace Moonstone and
Treasure Moonstone are now on the Swap Shop!
Grace was touched when Treasure asked her out for a "girls' day," but she also had enough sense to be paranoid. After all, as was becoming clearer by the second, Treasure existed in a state of jealous psychotic rage.
"I am soooo excited to spend time with you!" Treasure squealed as they left the taxi. She stepped back a little, closer to the enormous well in the center of the grass. Grace stepped forward a little to match her.
"I know, I'm happy that you asked me! I think it would be wonderful if we could get over this animosity and just start fresh--" Again, Treasure moved back, and again, Grace moved forward. Just a little closer . . .
"Hey, beautiful!" Jason called, running across the lot to kiss his fiancé. Grace silently exhaled in relief--thank God Jason had responded to her text. Treasure had the psychotic glint in her eye again.
Treasure turned and walked away as the happy couple made out on the grass. She smiled.
Ooh, how perfect! The happy happy happy happy happy happy people. Soon I'll be happy happy happy happy happy happy too! Maybe I'll drown them both in the well. Wouldn't that be happy happy happy happy happy happy happy? She flipped a coin into the well, and stared at it as it spun over and over before plopping into the water.
I wish for Love.
Oh my flabbergasted it's a frog! She picked the frog up, shuddering at its sliminess. "Hello, little guy," Treasure cooed. "Are you my prince?" Holding its midsection tightly, she pressed her lips to the frog's.
Treasure gasped as the frog dissolved into an enormous cloud of sparkling lights.
(Author's Note: I had her Wish for Love three times, and each time she got a frog! I've never had it happen that quickly before. Anyway, the first two were old guys, but the third . . .)
Suddenly, the colors disappeared and left behind was a handsome young man with pretty blue eyes and an easy smile. "Hello, lovely lady. My name is Blake Kraus, and I'm in love with you."
"Wow," she answered, a plan rapidly developing in her head. It was insane, but so was she.
Treasure smiled at him, but her eyes looked past him.
"I know it's early," Blake continued, completely oblivious, "but will you marry me? You are the most beautiful, wonderful woman in the world, and the love of my life."
"Yes, I know I am," she answered with a sniff. "And yes. I will marry you."
The happy couple kissed for the first time, beside the well where they had met.
"I love you," he whispered in her ear as they embraced.
"Uh-huh."
