Well... That escalated quickly! Glad to see no one is threatening Mist's rise to power. This was an amazing update, though I'm a little bummed that Treasure and Grace weren't in it. Oh we'll they'll come soon enough I suppose. :)

She released Belisama instead of just killing her? I'm... I'm confused.

Hehehe. I'm sure she can get it done--Mist is very efficient, after all.

Who would dare threaten Mist's rise to power? Don't worry, Treasure and Grace go back to being central characters in: Moonstone Teens: A Sims Soap Opera in no time.

I myself can't wait to see the reformed Treasure. It'll be quite the treat!  ;D

Just finished playing it: and yes, it is, indeed, a treat.

She released Belisama instead of just killing her? I'm... I'm confused.

Good. That's what Mist wants.

Children of Note
« Reply #275 on: July 26, 2013, 09:16:00 PM »
The night was forever remembered in Bridgeport history, but it was written under one name only . . . The Night Mist Stole the Children.

That's right. All of the kids in Bridgeport suddenly disappeared from their homes, neighborhoods, after-school clubs, only to find themselves standing in a strange, dark room. The room was filled with rows of bunk beds, picnic tables, All-In-One Bathrooms, refrigerators, a waterslide, and a play table. Ten beds, ten children.

Children of note: Jamie Moonstone, red shirt purple-ish hair on the left. Benito Slayer, pink skin. In the back, blonde haired girl with scarf, Barbara Rubble-Moonstone, daughter of Wogan Moonstone and Bianca Rubble: Leaf Moonstone's wife.

Up above, Mist stood back and admired her handiwork. Some had been selected at random, but most deaths would serve a purpose. To take down anyone who had ever opposed Mist--anyone who could pose the slightest possible threat was being taken down. At last, the city was hers.

Treasure knew none of this. She looked on in horror at what her mother had accomplished in the long night of revenge. This couldn't be Mist! The woman who had always been her best friend, guided her, been on her side since childhood . . . she was evil.

"What is this?!" she shouted, interrupting her mother's gloating. "You . . . you . . . you are evil! I can't believe this!"

"How dare you speak that way to me?" Mist answered, clearly not pleased. "With this attitude, you will never beat your sister and become heir! You need to understand that I am in control, I have always been in control, and you need to be on my side or you won't survive under my rule."

"I don't care! When I'm older, I'm going to join the police, and then I am going to stop you!"

"There is no police," Mist said in a calm, cold voice. "They have been dissolved."

"Then I'll start a new police force!"

Mist sighed deeply, considering her options. But she knew there was only one thing to do. "Treasure, I've known that you are heir since you were a little girl. I want you to be heir. If I have my way, you will be heir. You're an intelligent, beautiful young lady with a lot to offer as the leader of the third generation."

"Mom, you don't seem to get it--"

"I'm doing this for your own good."

"What are you talking--"Treasure was cut off as she disappeared in a prism of golden light. Mist smiled to herself, knowing that she was doing the right thing for her daughter. It was time to toughen up.

Find the adventures of Treasure here.

  Meanwhile, at home . . .

  "Hey, Grace," Jason said cheerfully.

"You know, Jason, I'm really tired of this. Can you just leave me--"

Before she could finish, the former Imaginary Friend took fate into his own hands, leaped forward, and kissed her. Taken aback, Grace let herself be swept off her feet, just for a moment.

"Oh!" She gasped, feeling like something out of a Victorian romance. "Does this mean that you and Treasure--"

"No--but wait! Your mom said that Treasure has been sent to an alien planet, from which she may or may not return. For the next few days, I'm single!" Jason almost winced, listening to himself. His girlfriend "may or may not return," and he was taking advantage of that to hit on her sister? Well, he mused, it wasn't a huge change from his earlier crimes.

At any rate, he was just trying to find a silver lining.

  "I love you," Grace whispered.

  "I love you, too."

But then, Jason mused, as he and Grace kissed (something he had been dreaming about for weeks), how many times had he said the same exact thing to Treasure?

"Come on," Grace said playfully, interrupting his thoughts. "Mom's rally is starting in a few minutes!"

"Uh-huh," he answered, smiling at her. Inwardly, he was thankful that the readers would have to choose his girlfriend for him in the heir poll. But Jason also wondered if he could let the other one go.

Personally, I'm a Grace fan. I think I can just connect to her better than with Treasure.

To let you in on a secret: I might be a Grace fan if I didn't hate her hair so much. I'm a bit neurotic about that style.

As Mist stepped up to the podium at City Hall, and the crowd began to cheer and wave their picket signs (All Hail Empress Mist!), as Grace and Jason joined the throng and exchanged secret looks, someone very . . . changed returned to Bridgeport.

Marisa Whitefang was waiting. A little voice in the back of her head told her she was coming.

And sure enough, the door opened, and in walked a young woman with golden skin. "Marisa Whitefang."

"Can that be . . . Treasure Moonstone?"

Her eyes narrowed slightly, and she whispered something under her breath. "Treasure. Treasure. Treasure." Raising her voice, she continued, "Yes. And I have a proposition for you."

Interested, Marisa stood and, even as Treasure began to outline her plan, she couldn't help but look around the room. Everything was scrubbed white, clean and bare. It would take anyone some time to realize there was no refrigerator.

Her attention refocused only when Marisa interrupted her. "Look, Treasure, I admire your ambition. However, I already have a good deal as it is--here, come see my human pen."

They went outside, where the werewolf showed Treasure a windowed room filled with people.

"Technically I'm not allowed to hunt in Bridgeport," Marisa explained. "But with Mist's new rules, I can hunt between the hours of midnight and three in the morning. I feed, then capture prey to bring back here for when I get hungry during the day. I choose most of my prey, but--see that one there, the neon girl? She'll be impossible to swallow, but she refused to pay tribute, so . . ." She shrugged, teeth flashing.

"What's that one doing in the pen?" Treasure asked.

"That's my next meal. I move them into the little pen an hour or two before breakfast--makes them much tastier. All of those terrified juices flowing . . ."

Apparently the mere thought, combined with her hunger, was enough to trigger the transformation. Breakfast, standing petrified in the pen, nearly fainted.

"This is quite the operation you have here," Treasure said companionably. "But it's nothing compared to the benefits that will be due if I become heir and the plan is put into effect. You'll have your pick of prey--all day, all night. There will be food at the snap of your fingers! And, if you want, I'll have a big field set up so you can chase them down. Whatever you want."

The werewolf tilted her head to the side. "What's this plan?"

Treasure just smiled, innocently. But behind her eyes lingered a glint of madness. "Control, Whitefang. Control of everything."

"Count me in--if you become heir."

A small black shadow detached itself from the roof of the little house and soared overhead, through the twilight, to report to its master.

Mist waited by the pool, hearing the sound of footsteps on the road. A moment later, Treasure appeared. She was dressed differently, Mist noted. Very differently. She had little time to digest this, as Treasure caught her in a hug.

"I missed you so much, Mom!"

Mist smiled eerily, silhouetted against the sky. "Missed you too, Treasure."
