Therein lies the price of being stupid, Belisama.

Poor Belly & Belly Jr. and to think this all happened to her because she woke Mist up from her Nap. It's pretty crazy when you think about it.   :o

Hopefully the baby won't have the disturbing Hemlock family profile.

Ooooo!  Very interesting!

Thank you, thank you *bows* . I would have accepted "intriguing, interesting," or "fascinating."

Therein lies the price of being stupid, Belisama.

If only we could do that to every stupid person on the planet . . . did I just say that out loud?

Poor Belly & Belly Jr. and to think this all happened to her because she woke Mist up from her Nap. It's pretty crazy when you think about it.   :o

Or maybe Belisama should have been smart enough to figure out that it's not polite to wake people from their naps, and it's downright dangerous in some cases!

Hopefully the baby won't have the disturbing Hemlock family profile.

What are you talking--yeah, I know what you mean  :o . Ferby, Finale's fiancé from a few pages back, was actually quite handsome, which was a nice surprise.

Herding Sheep

Marisa had arrived at the next target: the community theatre where Melody Moonstone worked. Little did Melody know that she would be given her walking papers that day, since her boss had received a very graphic note from Mist the previous night. Marisa had an additional task, however--one that she carried out with enthusiasm.

Mist looked over the captured townies approvingly. "Good work, Whitefang."

"Like herding sheep," the werewolf snorted, examining her claws with disinterest. She could barely hide the growing hunger within her: it had been several days since her last feeding, and even though she preferred the plump residents of Hidden Springs, that skinny kid with the afro was starting to look awfully tasty.

She had little interest in most of the townies, however--they were just food for the dog. One young woman with blue skin had been separated from the rest of the herd, placed in a special corral for V.I.P.s (Very Important Prisoners).

Melody was the only truly frightened prisoner, for the others thought it must be some kind of publicity stunt and they would all go home with a free SimPad. She alone knew that this had been orchestrated by her sister, and the depths of her sister's evil. And yet, as Mist entered the enclosure, she desperately tried to appeal to her.

"Mist, why are you doing this? We're sisters!"

"No! You tried to take what I earned! And now . . . now, you will pay." She whistled once, then left the pen. As much as she would love to see her revenge on Melody take place, you could only torture one fish for so long before losing the whole school.

"Marisa Whitefang, pleased to meet you," the werewolf dropped down into a curtsy. Marisa was never one to rush a job--and anyway, the big reveal was so much more fun!

"Are you one of my sister's prisoners, too?" Melody asked.

  "Oh, yes, about that--"

Meanwhile, At Home

  "Where's your mom?"

  "On a homicidal rampage."

  "Mmm, what's for dinner?"

Meanwhile, Far, Far Below the Home

  Notice anything different about her?

Well, Alas Melody Rest in Peace, you will be Missed.

I absolutely cannot wait to see the sinister purpose Mist has for reverting Belly into a human, and how it will contribute to her down fall.  ;)

Well, they're currently on a homicidal rampage, so I suppose they would need someone to mop up the blood, except for the fact that they want the blood to remain forever as a reminder of what happened.

That's what you get for going away for a few days *shakes head* .

The Key Variables
« Reply #267 on: July 21, 2013, 07:30:11 PM »
Terrified, Melody turned to run, only to find herself fenced in with the werewolf. How could she be such an idiot! She knew her sister better than anyone--she should have seen this coming. She should have taken her family and left Bridgeport the moment Mist was made heir!

Marisa Whitefang smiled, her orange eyes glowing. "Don't blame yourself," she said, seeming to read Melody's mind. "Your sister was far smarter than you could ever be. She has been planning this for years, manipulating all of the key variables until everything fell into place."

In desperation, she tried to placate the werewolf. "Can't you just leave? Stop my sister, and save this city! What's in it for you?"

Whitefang rolled her eyes, clearly bored. "Sorry, sweetie. Tonight, Bridgeport is my hunting ground. And I'm going to hunt." With that, she pounced.

With her mission complete, Marisa drew herself up and howled, a sound so terrifying that all in earshot cringed in fear. Melody got up shakily, feeling sick to her stomach. "What have you done to me?" she whispered.

"You can go home now." The werewolf glanced over at the humans trapped in a separate enclosure and licked her lips. "I'll be by later to meet your husband."

Mist had left as soon as her colleague transformed. Her instructions had been very specific: transform, don't kill. Marisa had been a little disappointed at that, so Mist trapped several other humans to make up for it. Besides, there would be plenty of opportunities to feed tonight.

The mastermind herself was pursuing business of a . . . personal matter. Namely, Ferby Moonstone-Hemlock, her younger sister's husband.

Condemned
« Reply #269 on: July 24, 2013, 12:52:14 PM »
In the end, it was just too easy. Ferby, like his father, was easily swayed from a life of marriage. Even if the swayer in question was his stepmother.

It wasn't enough for her to just destroy Finale with the rest. No, she wouldn't touch a hair on her little sister's head. Instead, she would break her heart . . . over and over.

Finale had actually posed a threat to Mist becoming the heir. That meant she would pay, and pay, and pay! First she would lose her husband's heart. Then she would lose her husband.

Morrigan Hemlock, who tried to defend her son, found herself in the basement with her daughter. She was also pregnant.

At the same time, Marisa was paying a visit to the other Moonstone household. Bronson Moonstone was receiving the same treatment as his wife, and being condemned to the same half-life.

Mist checked the list. Next up: Jessica Talon.

"You and your husband refused to support me over Elvira! You should have chosen the side that is going to win." With a snap of her fingers, Mist summoned Obsidian, and Jessica vanished.

The next target was Lenny Maloney-Shutter. Remember him? Mist's Mid-Life Crisis fling? Anyway, she was not at all happy with him for running back to his wife.

A voice came into her head. Who is next?

Mist tapped one finger to her temple, sending Marisa the coordinates.

Matt Moonstone sat in his apartment, completely oblivious to his imminent destruction. Marisa would have very much liked to eat such a succulent morsel, but she had her orders.

The ten victims were chosen, and all were in place as the sun began to rise. From left to right: Polly Maloney-Shutter, Lenny's wife. Nardo Moonstone, who had gone underground instead of siding with his sister. Vladimir Talon-Schlick, who had not supported Mist's rise to power. Lenny Maloney-Shutter, Mist's fling. Wogan Moonstone, who is rather self-explanatory.

Matilda Smart, chosen simply because her name came to mind--she was the father of Matthew Hamming's daughter, Allyson. Esperanza Orouke-Moonstone: Amest Moonstone's wife, who Mist had not approved. Her death would be a warning to Amest. A random townie. Ferby Moonstone-Wordy, who had been selected as a blow against Finale. Elvira Slayer, former (and duped) major power of Bridgeport.

After a little groveling and swearing of allegiance, Belisama was released and replaced by Deidre Littler. Mist hadn't kidnapped every pregnant woman in Bridgeport--that would have taken far too much effort. Instead, she selected two: Morrigan Hemlock, the ex-wife of her ex-husband. And Deidre Littler, the woman who was supposed to marry Amest.
